My Creative Decision Making
Throughout the whole year I have learned a lot in this course. To make a creative decision while working on a project is a must so that we can get the process done correctly. I believe that I have improve my creative decision skills after all the projects and research that I had done during my studies here. The first process when starting a project is to have the idea and the objective of your project. For that you would need to do a research on any previous works done by other researcher. By doing this you can narrow down your project so that you can focus on what you wanted to create. Also this can be a resourceful data so that you can refer to them on how the process of making it. To narrow it even more you have to find if there is any forefront of your project. If there were any recent project or research that has been done which relates to your work you can use it as your inspiration of as a main reference for your project. I would say that my project is my own forefront since the recent project was done in the year 2011 and maybe some other project might be of use as my forefront as well since my concept and my idea can be separated in different projects. Other than that by deciding which part of your project that needs to be done first will be the most important part of your process. Each work has its own process and it can also be separated into parts. For an example my project can be separated into two parts; the physical installation and the digital installation. Once you had decided which part of your project that needs to be done first then you can begin your work.
Aside from that having a schedule or a gantt chart would be really helpful in staying in course with the work that you need to do for every week. I also had develop a skill when I am thinking of an idea for the project I will do a research on it to see whether it would work or not before I go in further. Also I would think about the possibilities and the risks that I needed to take if wanted to do it. For an example when I wanted to create the installation of my project I would have to think about how it would fit along with the project and how it will turn out to be. Once I have done that I will take a look on the materials and the compatibility of the materials with the project. After that I will consider on any alternatives in case my proposed materials for the installation would have some problems with it like for example to access to it, where to purchase the materials and how much would it cost. All these factors are important to think about because as a student you will have limited funds and time as well. To be too ambitious about it is good but also can be a downfall if you could not execute it on time. So having those to think about can narrow it down so it would fit your time and abilities to do it. Be ambitious but do it in a simple and quick.
