The ocean is a big part of what makes @newportfolkfest special. The fort is surrounded on three sides by water. The Narragansett bay is full of amazing boats big and small. For many folks the only way to enjoy the festival is by sea. In a few days "water world" , the flotilla of sailboats, kayaks, boats and anything that floats will appear. Pictured in the foreground of this image a group of guys are doing an old school clam boil in a 55 gallon drum. Add seaweed and heat. Put your lobsters, clams, and other goodness in for a few hours. Happy Birthday good sir. Hope your making ears bleed and hearts melt somewhere today. @reignwolf came to @newportfolkfest a fews years back and took that whole "go electric" idea Dylan had to an other level. His set at the Quad stage was one of my all time favorites. Dripping with sweat and so excited to have been a part of the fest.
