Reckless Chapter One
Fandom: VLD Universe: Season 3/post s3 (possible spoilers) Characters: Lance, Keith, Hunk, Pidge, Allura, Coran, Shiro, some others Pairing/s: Lance/Keith It was as if the universe was moving in slow motion, he saw the ion cannon firing and the black lion was dead center. 'No!' he thought as he pulled back on red’s thrusters and launched forward, knocking Keith and the black lion out of harms way, but putting himself in harms way instead. “Lance! What are you doing!?” he could hear Hunk yelling as he swallowed hard and waited for the blast that shook through the red lion. He was sure he heard someone else call for him, but, he didn’t hear it very clearly. Red darkened with loss of power and the force of the blast sent the red lion spiraling straight down toward the planet they were orbiting. Red Hit The Ground With A Sickening thud, leaving her new paladin lifeless in the cockpit. As soon as Black stopped spinning, Keith realized exactly what had happened. One, he had been knocked out of the way by the red lion. Two, said lion had been hit by the ion blast that had been aimed at him. And three, Lance was in Red and currently hurling downward toward the planet. “LANCE!!!” he cried and flew as fast as the black lion would let him. Damn, why did the black lion have to be so slow!? It happened as he reached the planets atmosphere, Red hit the ground sending dirt and debris flying in every direction as she created a crater about two miles in diameter and four deep. “no… NO!!!!” He landed the lion near the crash site and jumped out, running as fast as his legs would carry him to the place where the red lion lay in the dark brown dirt. She was in bad condition and it made Keith’s hart wrench when he saw the many sparks rising from the hole in the side of her armor. He made it to her face and placed his hand on her slightly parted jaw before resting his head against her, “we’ll get you fixed up… but first, I need to get to Lance…” The inside of the cockpit was dark and sparks of electricity or rather quintessence flew from the control panel where a lifeless former blue paladin sat strapped into the pilot’s seat. Keith unstrapped him and pulled him into his arms, “Lance…? No… stay with me, buddy…” he said barely above a whisper as he sat on the floor of the cockpit and gently removed the blue helmet from Lance’s head. Keith put an ear to his lips and could feel the faint breaths coming from the tan skinned brunette. A sigh of relief escaped his lips and he He’d Lance to his chest. “Hunk… Pidge, I uh… I found him. I need you guys to come get Red.” He said into the comms as he watched Lance’s head lull backward and a small amount of blood trailed from the red paladins lips. “Roger that.” He heard the delayed reply from the green paladin. “I’ll have a pod ready for him when you get here…” Coran added, his voice a little more somber than usual. Keith set Lance’s helmet in the seat and carried him out of the lion and across the crater over to where the black lion was waiting. The minute Black saw him carrying Lance, they lowered their head and allowed the two in. Keith sat on the floor for a moment with Lance, stripping him of the armor plates and leaving him in his black flight suit. He checked him over and sniffed a bit, “I-I’m not losing any more of my team, do you hear me?” he said and hugged the former blue paladin tightly, “don’t you dare leave me, Lance…” his voice was shaky. He laid the blue paladin down and moved to the pilot’s seat, wiping his eyes as he lifted off from the planet. Pidge and Hunk had already entered the atmosphere and we’re had in down to tow are back to the castle… To be continued…
Reckless Chapter Five
Fandom: VLD Universe: Season 3/post s3 (possible spoilers) Characters: Lance, Keith, Hunk, Pidge, Allura, Coran, Shiro, some others Pairing/s: Lance/Keith Nearly a week had passed since the day they almost lost Lance. A week of silence. Lotor had even been unusually quiet, which meant he was most likely up to something. That possibility alone, was enough to put everyone on edge. Keith was especially on edge, considering he would have to come up with a plan with only four out of five paladins, if Lotor did decide to come out of hiding and pull something. He was currently pacing back and forth in his room. The black paladin hadn’t eaten anything in almost three days and had been training almost every day since the incident. He even spent a lot of his time in the black lion trying to bond better with them. Shiro came to check on him as he was pacing and didn’t even bother to knock, because Keith really wouldn’t care if he just walked in. “Keith, you need to come eat something… we’re all worried about you.” Keith stopped pacing and turned to look at Shiro as he pulled his jacket on, “I’m not hungry…” was all he said before heading off to the training deck. Shiro groaned as he followed behind Keith. “You can’t go on like this, Keith… you’re going to work yourself sick.” “I have to be prepared for anything…” the former red paladin replied, not stopping as he heard Shiro get closer to him. He felt the hand grab his arm and tried to shake out of the grasp, only to realize that it was Shiro’s galran prosthetic that had clamped itself around his lower arm. “let go.” “Not until you listen to me and go get something to eat. You’ve lost a lot of weight, and I’m not gonna let you starve yourself because Lance hasn’t woken up yet.” Shiro could see the other male tense up in his grasp, “…you have to stop blaming yourself. You and I both know it wasn’t at all your fault. No one could have prevented what happened. Now, come eat.” Keith sighed and huffed out a “fine…” before allowing the larger man to basically drag him into the dining hall. He filled up a bowl with goo and sat at the table to eat. He took his empty bowl to the sink and mumbled a soft apology to Shiro before making his way out of the dining hall and toward the medical bay. He had made it a point to go see Lance and stay in the medical bay for a few hours just in case there was any change in the former blue paladin’s condition. For nearly a week, there hadn’t been, but that didn’t stop him from going to see him anyway. When he walked into the medical bay that night, Coran was standing next to an examination table and Lance was sitting, letting the Altean check all of his vital signs. “hat was the last thing you remember?” Coran asked as he shined what resembled a flashlight in Lance’s eyes. “It’s all a blur… I just remember thinking something about not wanting to lose another teammate and then boom… I knocked Keith out of the way and got shot down instead… after that, just dreams.” Lance explained, blinking once the light was taken away from his eyes. Keith stood in the doorway, his mouth slack and eyes wide as he took in the sight. He was sure he could feel the pinpricks of tears brimming his deep violet eyes. He wasn’t one to cry in front of everyone, but he really couldn’t help it. Lance was awake and sitting right in front of him. The Cuban’s blue eyes were suddenly on his and he could already feel his face grow warm. Coran glanced back and then looked at Lance with a knowing smile before he put his tools away, “I’ll leave you two to it then…” As soon as the Altean left, Keith made his way over to Lance, an unreadable expression on his face. “Look… I already know what you’re gonna say. That was a stupid move that I pulled out there and I could have gotten myself killed—” Lance didn’t get to finish because Keith’s arms were suddenly around him and just holding him close. The red paladin’s eyes widened and he slowly wrapped his arms around Keith as well. “You’re right… it was stupid, and reckless… but…” Keith pulled back to look at him, the tears finally rolling down his cheeks, “you’re safe… and you saved my life. For that… I really owe you one.” “I couldn’t just sit by and let you get hit by that ion cannon…” Lance said, “…besides, you’ve saved my skin plenty of times. So… just consider it a thanks.” He rubbed the back of his neck, “if… you tried to talk to me at all while I was out of it… umm… I heard you.” Keith’s eyes widened, “y-you did?” “I uh… yeah.” Lance said and put a hand on Keith’s shoulder, “…did… did you really mean all those things you said? That… I’m more than just the teams sharpshooter to you?” Keith’s eyes widened, he’d heard him mumbling to himself last night. The black paladin nodded, “…every word.” He said, “I didn’t know what I would have done if you didn’t come out if it…” “Aww… who knew you had a soft side?” Lance teased, pushing Keith’s shoulder lightly, “you really do care…” “of course I care…” Keith said placing his hands on either side of Lance’s face, “…I have for a while… and somewhere along the way, I just started to care even more.” Lance looked at him, his expression almost completely blank aside from the slight blush on his face, “so… are you…?” he pursed his lips slightly and then licked them, “…are you just gonna stand there, or are you gonna kiss me?” Keith chuckled softly and leaned close to softly press his chapped lips against Lance’s super soft ones. He felt a hand tangle itself in his hair and Lance sighed softly against his lips before he leaned into the kiss. Not only was Lance okay, he felt the same as Keith had. To Be Continued…
Reckless Chapter Two
Fandom: VLD Universe: Season 3/post s3 (possible spoilers) Characters: Lance, Keith, Hunk, Pidge, Allura, Coran, Shiro, some others Pairing/s: Lance/Keith
Back and forth, back and forth. He was pacing, rather, had been pacing back and forth in front of the pod that the red paladin was in. Fists clenched and unclenched. A door opened and then closed.
A heavy hand landed on the new black paladins shoulder and he immediately shook it off, “leave me alone…” Keith said and continued to pace. “Keith… you need to get some sleep… you’ve been out here pacing for a few hours. He’s not going anywhere, I promise you, he’ll be—”
“don’t…” Keith interrupted, his voice breaking some, “you don’t know how bad his condition is Shiro, you didn’t see what I saw out there.” He stopped and sat on the steps in front of the pod, putting his head in his hands and pulling at the long black strands that fell in his face. His eyes were clenched shut and he frowned, “don’t… I… I’ll sleep when I know he’s okay. If anything, I’ll grab a blanket and lay out here… but I won’t leave.”
The man opened his mouth to say something, and he sighed instead, “fine… I’m sorry.” Shiro held his hands up in defeat and turned to leave, “just… make sure you get some rest. Voltron can’t lead itself.” Keith didn’t reply. He just sat there as the former black paladin left him in peace.
Keith pulled his knees to his chest and let out a shaky breath, leaning back against the pod. His dark violet eyes closed and the tears that had been threatening to fall, rolled silently down his cheeks.
“I’m sorry… I… if I hadn’t been so reckless a-and hot-headed… you wouldn’t have had to… to… t-to…” his head fell onto his knees and he sobbed silently. Eventually, Keith ended up falling asleep against the pod.
The door to the medical bay swished open and closed as someone walked in. A sigh escaped the male as he slipped a blanket over the black paladins shoulders and laid a pillow next to him just in case Keith were to decide to lay down instead of leaning against Lance’s pod.
Hunk placed a hand on the glass if the pod, “comments back to us…” he whispered, before leaving once more, heading down to his own room and going inside. He sat down on his bed and took off his headband before carding his hands through his hair. He flopped backward and yawned. He too, eventually succumbed to seep.

Reckless Chapter Four
Fandom: VLD Universe: Season 3/post s3 (possible spoilers) Characters: Lance, Keith, Hunk, Pidge, Allura, Coran, Shiro, some others Pairing/s: Lance/Keith Silence.
All that was around him was silence and darkness. He was standing on what felt like warm soft sand. Sand that reminded him of home. The darkness dissipated and he was standing by the waters edge on his very favorite beach, “I’m… home?”
“Hey there sharpshooter…”
The voice was faint, but he could definitely recognize who it was. He spun around, expecting to see Keith standing on the beach, but didn’t see anyone. It was strange because Veradero Beach was usually buzzing with tourists. “Keith?”
“I don’t know if you can hear me… but, I’m sorry. I’m sorry for being so reckless and getting us… mainly you… in such a horrible situation.”
“Keith what are you talking about?” Lance looked around, “where are you?” he heard Keith sniff a few times and then a shaky breath, “K-Keith…?”
“If I would have listened to you all in the first place, none of this would have happened and… you wouldn’t be in that pod… you’d be right here with us all… with… with me.”
‘…with me’
It echoes through Lance’s mind and he was suddenly in darkness again. He could hear Keith’s voice loud and clear as if it were right next to him.
“I… err… we need you, Lance… you’re a much more valuable part of the team than you know. Please—” Keith’s voice broke as he rested his head against the glass, “…please come back to me…” his voice was barely above a whisper. Tears then began to slowly stream down the black paladins face as he slid down the pod and onto his knees, “I need you… Lance.” He sniffed, “m-more than you know…”
Nothing but the soft whirring of the healing pod and the normal night sounds of the castle could be heard. An occasional sniffle could be heard here and there, and the soft sobbing of the former red paladin as he clenched his fists against the glass in frustration.

Reckless Chapter Three
Fandom: VLD Universe: Season 3/post s3 (possible spoilers) Characters: Lance, Keith, Hunk, Pidge, Allura, Coran, Shiro, some others Pairing/s: Lance/Keith Keith sat up and looked around the medical bay, suddenly realizing that yesterday did actually happen. Lance was in a healing pod and didn’t seem to look any different than he had when he was put inside. The black paladin placed his hand on the glass and leaned his forehead against it as well, “I’ll come back to check on you…” he said, “when you wake up… we have a lot to talk about.” Keith pulled away and gathered the pillow and blanket before carrying them out and placing them beside the supply closet. The dinning hall was a lot quieter than it had been in a while, probably because of what had happened. No one even dared bring up yesterday’s events except to ask about the condition of the red lion. Even that was enough to set Keith off, “what’s the point of red being operational if we don’t even have anyone who can pilot her?!” he had shouted before even realizing that he had. Shiro gave him a look and Keith continued, “I’m sorry, I am not counting my right hand man out of commission. He’s going to wake up, it’s only a matter of when...” “I understand, Keith. Lance is a big part of this team. We all get what you mean when you say that, but we have to consider the possibility that he won’t come out of it.” Shiro’s words cut like a knife and Keith stood up rather angrily and stormed out without another word. Shiro sighed and placed his hand on his fist, his elbow resting on the Altean table top. Hunk sighed heavily, “look, I know you may have a point… but I don’t think any of us like the possibility of losing Lance to something like that.” The yellow paladin said, frowning slightly. Shiro sighed, “That wasn’t what I meant… I was just saying that he might not come out of it. You heard what Coran said, his injuries could have been fatal had he been down in that wreckage any longer.” “We all heard what Coran said… it doesn’t exactly help the fact that none of us even what to think of the possibility of losing another paladin. If we do, who’s gonna fly Red? You?” Pidge stood up and put her eating utensils down, “I’m gonna go see if I can talk our new leader down. You really seemed to upset him…” with that she left the table and stood outside Keith’s bedroom, knocking lightly, but loud enough that he could hear. “Yeah… come in…” she heard through the door and stepped into the darkened room. “Hey there. You good?” “No. I am anything but ‘good’, Pidge. Lance is in that pod and it’s my fault for charging head first and trying to attack Lotor head on like I did. Especially when I really know nothing about Black. It’s… not as fast as Red, so I couldn’t have gotten myself out of that situation, but it would be better me than Lance—” “I’m gonna go ahead and stop you there, because no… it would be just as hard on Lance, knowing he could have done something to keep you with us. Look… it’s no secret that you two have been getting along pretty good lately.” Pidge moved to sit on the edge of Keith’s bed, “…there’s more to just feeling like it’s your fault, isn’t there?” Curse Pidge and her perceptive brain. Keith let out a heavy sigh and nodded, “I… I can’t lose him.” He heard the words before he even had a chance to think about what to say, and then the tears started again. “I really cant…” his voice broke and he was almost on the verge of a total and utter breakdown. Pidge nodded and let out a sigh, “I know… it may not be the same feeling but… if he didn’t wake up, I’d feel like I lost a brother… we all love Lance… just, not in the same way you do.” “…I don’t… I don’t know what to do. I’m scared… genuinely scared.” Keith fell back into his pillow, dragging his hands through his hair. He didn’t even feel like arguing with Pidge. Once she figured something out, there was no convincing her otherwise. And honestly, she was right. How did he not see it sooner? After Pidge left and left Keith to his thoughts, he stood and made his way through the hall toward the medical bay. He needed to see Lance. Then he’d go back to his room and try to rest like everyone wanted him to. To Be Continued…
The Plan (Part One)
Universe: Canonverse Fandom: VLD Pairing/s: Lance/Keith Additional warnings: some smut in later parts, inappropriate behavior, Pidge likes to prank Lance. Summary: Lance tells Pidge all about a dream he has and she formulates a plan. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A nice hot Shower was just what Lance needed after a very long day. As the water cascaded down onto his head, it drowned out any and every other sound around, leaving the paladin to his thoughts. He smiled softly as he closed his eyes and didn't hear the soft footsteps of the green paladin as she snuck in and grabbed all of his clothes out of the bathroom and snuck back out. She had a plan, and so she left a note with one word 'blue' on it. Lance got out of the shower and wandered over to where he had put his clothes. He groaned when he saw the paper and wrapped a towel around himself instead. He'd have to head down to his room to get some more. Unfortunately, he found the door locked. He entered his usual code and the door blinked red "what?" He tried again and it blinked red again. "Seriously!?" He groaned and hoped that no one saw him like that, completely nude aside from a towel around his waist and completely dripping wet. “Lance…? Why are you naked?” Great. He recognized that voice it really couldn’t be anyone other than Keith. He sighed and tried his code one more time, “it’s a very long story actually.” He said as he leaned against the door with a frustrated groan. Keith snickered slightly behind him, crossing his arms as he leaned against the wall, “let me guess… she’s short and loves to make your life hell because you make fun of her age and shortness all the time?” “Bingo… she stole all my clothes, left me with the word ‘blue’ on a note card where my clothes were sitting. And to top it all off, she locked me out of my room and changed the code.” Lance was quite irritated at this point, “and there was a note card taped to my door with the word ‘red’ written on it. I’m not sure what she wants.” “red and blue? Well, I wear red armor and yours is blue… could it have to do with us?” Keith asked, crossing his arms as he tried to figure it out. Lance just shook his head and sighed, “you never know with her. I’m just curious what I did this time.” Keith chuckled, “well, like you said… you never really know with Pidge.” He let his eyes roam over the blue paladin’s form before blushing and looking away ‘of course he would have to be naked… stay down damn you’ he willed the slight twitch in his jeans. “I uh… I can get you something to wear, you know, at least until you figure things out with Pidge.” “As much as I hate the color black… I would much rather wear black than catch a cold because I was too stubborn to put on clothes.” Lance shivered a bit, emphasizing that the castle was incredibly drafty. “Come on… I’m sure I have something other than black in my closet.” The red paladin rolled his eyes as he led Lance to his room and walked inside waiting for the other. Lance stepped in behind him and sat on the bed while Keith went through his closet, “I’ve got a gray v-neck… and a pair of leggings… will that work?” “I guess gray is better than black, so sure…” Lance caught the clothes as they were tossed in his direction. Keith remained facing the closet as Lance pulled the leggings over his nude lower half. He looked himself over before pulling the v-neck on over his damp chest. Both were actually a little too tight, but he could manage. At least he wasn’t cold. He turned around and stretched his arms over his head, “well… they’re a bit snug… but I’ll manage. Thanks, Keith.” Keith turned around to reply and his breath hitched in his throat. Not only did the leggings emphasize Lance’s long legs and perfect ass, both items clung to the tan skinned teen and accentuated every curve and muscle the teen had. Keith had to look away and turn away to tuck himself up into his waistband. ‘Welp… so much for clean thoughts…’ the eighteen-year-old thought before turning back around, “I’m going to go train… You should try and work things out with Pidge.” With that, Keith turned and walked out of his room heading for the training deck ‘of course he’d look that good in my clothes. Why the hell does he look so damn good to begin with?’ He groaned as he readied his bayard “begin training sequence level five!” he called and started to fight the gladiator so he could get his mind off the sexy Cuban in his room right now. Reckless is under construction. I have way too many ideas flowing through my head as of now so the next chapter of that might not be up until sometime next week. I also have a bit of a short one I'm working on as well. It's titled, 'The Plan' it's a little smutty and possibly contains coarse language. But I'll post the first part here in a bit.
