Watch us go! The Ancestors were definitely in the building with @Fon_Dance_Theatre. We had to represent for the Men! On July 3, 2016 Forces of Nature Dance Theatre headlined the 45th Anniversary of the International African Arts Festival at Commodore Barry Park. Choreographed/ under the direction of Abdel R. In 2011 I witnessed "Terrestrial Wombs," for the first time ever. From that moment on I knew FONDT was where I needed to be. Last night (10.7.16) I had the honor dancing this ballet conceived and choreographed by the incomparable Abdel R. Salaam, for the 1st time. Not to mention that Vaughn and I did the the complete dance proper.Thank you DanceAfrica Dallas, looking forward to a grand closing tonight! #FONDT35 #JerijahWest #DanceAfricaDallas (at Dallas City Performance Hall)
