FROG SPLASHHHHHHHHHHHH
Melee - Varth Dader x Munoz Ft. Jiro, Fonlon, & Opo-Cultra | Hip-Hop
Official NASA Website
"Lost Odyssey ft. Fonlon (prod. TEK.LUN)" - Varth Dader (TEK.LUN)
This tape has been floating around the internet for a few months now but it's only recently found it's way into my inbox. And I've been missing this shit, even before I knew I was missing it. Varth Dader, it appears, is another moniker for TEK.LUN, one of many members of the hip-hop collective Nasa 8. I'm not exactly sure who is in Nasa 8, but the names BigNick, PearlCity, Fonlon, JayHaze, Opa-Cultra, Jiro, Mercer, Vigo the Pharaoh, Mr. Mockwell, and oriJanus are just a few that come to mind. Oh and there are three photographers who also count as part of the crew.
The collective started off as the New Age Smoking Association and has since been referred to as simply Nasa or Nasa8. Most of the members have been busy working on solo projects (such as Tice NItties, above) but almost every member or associate of Nasa8 tend to make some sort of appearance. Case and point, the track featured above - listen for Game of Thrones and Ariana Grande references in the same line.
Not gonna lie - I'm still confused about who these guys are - they seem to have members all over the world who are considered part of the collective. I guess that's what makes them so dope though. If you aren't sure just by reading about them, read no further and click play. Your doubts about TEK.LUN and his Nasa8 crew will be eradicated.
