Meek Mill - Dreams Worth More Than Money Album

       The second studio album by Meek Mill called Dreams Worth More Than Money has been postponed to be released. With a violation of his probation, Meek was sentenced 3 to 6 months of jail time on July 11, 2014. With the plan of the album to be released in 2014, anticipation runs high for Meek Mill fans.

      The album features many different artists such as Jay-Z, Rita Ora, Chris Brown, Rick Ross, Boosie, Lil Snupe, Big Sean, Ty Dolla Sign, Migos, and A$AP Ferg. In regards to album content, Meek Mill has stated that he is focusing more on rap than on money. In an XXL interview, Mill states that he has come to realize there is more to the music industry than wealth, which resulted in the album title Dreams Worth More Than Money.

      The album will be released later this year in 2015.

J. Cole Has Best-Selling Hip-Hop Album of the Year

        J. Coles third studio album, Forest Hills Drive, debuted atop the Billboard 200, selling more than 360,000 units in its first week! With also being on top of the charts, he has the bestselling hip-hop album of the year. With little promotion, no singles released before hand, and announcing the album less than a month ago, the album has exceeded the expectations given. J. Cole’s authenticity and positivity speaks for his success with this album. Cole is changing the game in a humbling, iconic way. All of his lyrics have a deeper meaning that really hits the heart and makes people think. 

          A recent Tumblr screenshot posted to Reddit and the OnlyHipHopFacts Twitter speaks on a homeless man and how the song “Love Yourz” saved him from committing suicide.

With his thoughts on his album, Cole tweeted, “The #’s are humbling. It’s a win for all artists and fans and a clear message to the industry. No singles no features. Stop serving trash.” J. Cole’s album has definitely proven to be a success in a number of different aspects.

Shmurda Faced With Conspiracy Charges & $2 Mill Bail

TMZ, along with other internet news sources, has confirmed that Bobby Schmurda was arrested late Tuesday night for ‘gang conspiracy’. Schmurda and his GS9 crew were arrested at Quad Studios in New York. TheBoomBox.com stated, “Kati Cornell, director of public information in the office of the city’s special narcotics prosecutor, confirmed to Wondering Sound that Shmurda’s arrest was part of a long-term sting operation conducted by the NYPD.”

 Law enforcement has informed TMZ that Shmurda was under surveillance by police officers, and was arrested while sitting outside of the alleged recording studio. The arrest took place from undisclosed charges involving drug trafficking and multiple shootings.

 Complex magazine stated, “he is now facing the following charges: conspiracy in the second degree, three counts of conspiracy in the third degree, reckless endangerment in the second degree, two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, and one count of criminal possession of drug paraphernalia. He faces 8 1/3 to 25 years if convicted on conspiracy charges, and a maximum of 15 years on each weapons charge.” Schmurda’s bail was set earlier today for $2 million. His attorney, Howard Greenberg, has stated that Epic Records will be posting that bail money for him.
