[PREMIERE] Beat Kitty X OhNo ft Nova Zef- Chowder 

These power house NYC artists team up to produce a 160 hybrid club banger. Beat Kitty's production is an imaginative fusion of footwork and global beats, while Nova’s vocal performance adds a pop accessibility that is both feminine and empowering. Through out the tune you can hear the bird song of Chowder, Beat Kitty’s pet parrot. This is the first premiere off the forthcoming 14 track compilation collaboration between Canadian hybrid Label Noctilux Collective and Portland bass label/party series Sublimate Records. The compilation features new heat from some of our favorite international haft time and footwork jungle producers such as Sinistarr, Greazus, Mooves, Captivate, Kid Kun, Sonis, Samurai Breaks and many more... Beat Kitty is a rising producer based in Brooklyn, who’s name has been recently popping up across the US festival circuit. As a classically-trained singer and flautist who was rooted in metal, her varied influences like DnB, Footwork, and global bass are used liberally in curating innovative and exciting soundscapes. You can expect to see many more productions and straight-up fire as she continues to experiment with international influences and bass-driven tones.

Brooklyn based artist Nova Zef travels the streets with her unique swag and soulful movement while speaking her poetry to the city sounds of NYC. You have seen her play at Lightning In a Bottle, Electric Forest, Symbiosis Gathering, The Bowery Ballroom, Elsewhere, Baby's Alright as well as mcing with some of the hottest dj's in the world. Nova Zef has transformed her years of cypher performances into one night born singles and is currently working on her second album. Her sound is multicolored. You will usually hear her voice on Earth pounding bass drums with a touch of global flare. Nova is the lead vocalist and creative mind in her band Pendulum People. Pendulum People is full live experience of music, dance, fashion with theatrical aspects. Whether she is spitting spells, creative directing her own music videos, collaborating with her team Pendulum People, making hats and hustling NYC- Nova seeks to reach all generations, including the next. Nova is a powerful woman with a voice to make a positive impact.

FWJ EXCLUSIVE MIX - RBYN (Berlin)

Our 59th mix comes courtesy of Berlin’s RBYN. He DJs in Germany and organises parties in Berlin where he manages his own vinyl imprint "Through These Eyes", which focuses on Drum & Bass and Jungle music, but you can always hear influences from genres like Hip Hop, Footwork or Dubstep in it.

Through These Eyes was founded in 2016 by Robin (aka RBYN). The DJ and promoter, who has been active in the scene for over a decade, decided to take his love for bass music to higher grounds. After finding many quality, unsigned tracks on various platforms, he felt like each of them deserved to be signed to a record label.

This is where his idea of establishing Through These Eyes was born: a label that encompasses everything around its artists and their quality music repertoire and its up-tempo resonance. It focuses on Halfstep and Jungle sounds within the range of 160-170 BPM, while Robin himself

follows a strict vinyl-only principle with an independent and DIY approach – all things apart from the manufacturing of vinyl.

So far the label released tunes from producers like Digid, TMSV, Folding City, Sun People and ILL_K. Tunes from the label got played by Sam Binga and Hyroglifics on the mighty Rinse FM radio station, featured by Noisia and got DJ support from Fixate, Om Unit, Itoa, Kabuki or Anna Morgan.
