Hugo cleared his throat as he fixed his tie and glanced around the lovely venue he had a hand in choosing several months ago. It had been a busy day for him, what with being his sister’s man of honor and all, but it was an organizational challenge he accepted gladly. What wasn’t great was having to pop in and out on his date to pertain to his duties and make sure his sister and her now husband were fully taken care of and tended to. Hugo trusted Professor D’Angelo...but not more than himself. 

He was relieved to find Nessa during his cursory glance, taking relaxed steps towards her now that he knew where she was and that seeing her, speaking to her would be imminent. He found a smile on his lips as he came up behind her, quiet as he could to tap her on the shoulder. 

“Hi, you reported your date missing and frankly, he looked pretty lost and confused without you too so here he is with peace offerings,” Hugo chuckled as he summoned a glass of wine from behind his back. “Rose practically made me take a little bit of down time so here I am, 100% ready to give you the undivided attention that you deserve.”
