I’m pretty sure that Brian May used to present the TV programme ‘The Sky At Night’ in case you didn’t know that? Idk, that’s the only piece of trivia that I can remember off the top of my head and I don’t even know if I’m right but I have a gut feeling that I haven’t remember wrong if that makes sense?

First draft of synopsis for our idea.

This installation visually represents constantly changing data which is gathered from social networking sites. Each prosthetic tree displays the information collected in relation to people trying different outdoor activities for the first time. These include; People trying cannoning for the first time, people trying rock climbing for the first time, people trying hiking for the first time, people trying horse riding for the first time. This information is displayed through the use of different coloured led lights placed inside the tree structures which change as the data is being collected. Each structure will fully change from one colour i.e. red to another i.e. blue for every one thousand people who try the relevant activity. The changes from one colour to another will be a gradual process pigments of the next colour will be added as more information is collected, the result will be that once it reaches a thousand people the colour will have completely changed and the count will start again. This means that the installation will be constantly changing through the collection of data and participation of others.
