I submitted my story of how using AAC has impacted my life to the company that provided my device, and they published it!
It's the second story down on the page. They also made a cute animation that looks really cool, and the AAC in it is my exact personal screen. The only part I don't like about it is the song they used, because I'm not religious.

Hi! Kiku ws wondering where you got your keyguard? (because it is clear and most Keyguards Kiku has seen for ipad are 3D printed and can't be clear)
My keyguard came with my device, which was requested by my speech therapist and covered by insurance (I'm in the US). It's from a company called Forbes AAC.
I think if you contact them, you can ask about paying out of pocket for devices and accessories, or if you have a speech therapist, they can help you see about getting needed equipment covered by insurance/NHS/your country's medical system. The company is based in the US, I'm not sure whether they do international sales.
Alert for CoughDrop users
There's a new version of the App currently pending with the app stores, called CoughDrop Pro. I do not know the full details of what's different but there some changes to navigation and user interface.
