Regina had always been one to devote herself and her life to her work. For years, this experiment had been everything to her, it had been the one thing to keep her going no matter what loneliness she was always forced to return to every evening. She was in love with her job and obviously married to it, the supernatural creatures that her team had been lucky enough to get their hands on especially.
It was a shock to no one when it was her who got the first promotion in her team, but she was surprised when she realized just what the promotion meant. She was assigned, practically given one specie instead of the many she had before to study, to figure out each little thing about them. But it was not that fact that had shocked her, but rather the specific specimen that she was caught face to face with the first day she walked in to her new office.
She had been taught after years not to talk to them, no matter how sweet they may seem. Each one was a killer, bred to get rid of her if given the chance and the woman in front of her was no different. So, instead, she walked to her new desk and immediately began writing down the quick notes she knew about this woman before she grabbed up her syringe and drew liquid from a vial. "Arm." She demanded, finally looking back up into those dark eyes.
