MERCHIN Band Merchandise Submission

 HELLO THERE!

Welcome to our page! Here is your submission guidance..

Buat desain untuk merchandise sekeren mungkin, visual artist yang terpilih nantinya akan berkolaborasi dengan band-band pilihan. Karya terbaiknya akan diproduksi sebagai band merchandise yang kemudian diperjualbelikan. Semua karya akan dikurasi oleh band yang bersangkutan.

Karya terpilih akan tersedia juga pada tanggal 7-8 Oktober di SUNDAY MARKET, Surabaya.

Pilih band yang ingin kamu respon (boleh lebih dari satu band, dan boleh lebih dari satu karya)

Baca profil band dan brief baik-baik

Download mock up yang sudah tersedia disini (klik), lalu buat desain merchandise sekeren mungkin sesuai dengan brief & style kamu. 

Kirim karyamu ke email [email protected] dan cc: [email protected] dengan subject: MERCHIN - (nama band). Jangan lupa sertakan nama, judul karya, No ID/KTP, nomor HP, dan akun instagrammu. Format: JPEG + PSD (mock up + tanpa mock up)

Karya yang disubmit berupa ilustrasi digital dan diaplikasikan pada mock-up yang telah tersedia. Untuk hasil gambar manual, buat desain pada template yang telah dicetak (kemudian foto/scan untuk upload dan submit).

Ketentuan karya:

Karya tidak boleh mengandung unsur SARA, kematian (tengkorak & darah), dan bayi/anak-anak.

Semua langkah diatas harus dipenuhi untuk memenuhi syarat sebagai peserta.

Submission ditutup pada Kamis, 14 September 2017 pukul 23:59 WIB

Karya terpilih akan diumumkan pada hari Minggu, 17 September 2017

Selanjutnya, desain akan diproduksi dan dijadikan merchandise untuk dipamerkan dan diperjualbelikan mulai tanggal 4-6 Oktober 2017 di Sirkel Space dan tanggal 7-8 Oktober 2017 di Sunday Market, Surabaya.

Keuntungan penjualan akan dibagi kepada band, visual artists, dan penyelenggara.

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE

We are Good Morning Everyone (GME). We are five-pieces pop rock outfit based in Semarang city. Introducing Mochamad Al Ichsan (vocal), Yuli (guitar), Daniel (guitar), Erwin (keyboard), Gilang (drum). Since late 2007 we plays various kind of rock music inspired by many band and musician all around the world. Day by day, gigs to gigs, stages to stages we kiss people ear drums with our songs. After magnificent seven years, in 2014 finally we made it to our 1st self-titled full album. And now in 2017 we drop the single called “friendzone”. We hope in the future many people will sing and yell to our musics. Team up!

DESIGN BRIEF

BRIEF                           :

Usai kontrak dengan label, GME bergerak dibawah tanah secara independen. Torehannya adalah single “Move On” dan album debut self titled yang rilis tahun 2014 lalu. Kemudian rangkaian tur Asia Tenggara, makin membuktikan, pilihan di musik bukan sekedar ‘masturbasi sesaat’ tapi sebuah mimpi jangka panjang. Sempat masuk nominasi di ICEMA (Indonesian Cutting Edge Award) 2014, mereka mengulang sukses masuk nominasi di AMI Awards 2016. Single “Friendzone” ini menceritakan tentang seseorang yang akhirnya menegaskan untuk tidak melanjutkan hubungan lebih dari sekedar pertemanan biasa. Karena seringnya terjadi “Friendzone” di sekitar kita, GME mencoba mengungkapnya dalam sebuah lagu.

ABSURDNATION

AbsurdNation is an experimental jazz quartet from Semarang Indonesia that was formed in December 12, 2012, by vocalist and trumpeter Nanda Goeltom, Pianist Yusuf Saputra and drummer Fanny Wardoyo. The members of the group agreed to explore the jazz from perspective of life. Their first record, 2014′s Titik Balik released by Indie Label and AbsurdNation agreed to consistent in Indie Jazz Music.

SUGAR BITTER

SUGAR BITTER are Indonesian indie rock band formed on 2012 in Semarang City. The band formation is consist of four personnels; A. Luthfi Maajid (lead Guitar, vocals); Lazuardi Rifki (lead vocals, rhythm guitar); Ardian Daniswara (drums); and Dimas Sadewa – who recently joined – on bass guitar.

At the very beginning, the band was initiated by Luthfi and Lazuardi – who came from the same high school – as they recognized to have a similar taste of music. After a while they invited two others, Ardian Daniswara and Reza Rachman (former bass player), who also came from the same high school with Luthfi and Lazuardi. The band began rehearsing at one of the band home studio, Luthfi, and played its first gig on 10 November 2012. They also decided the date to become the band formed date as well as the name, Sugar Bitter, be proclaimed. After a few performances in 2012, the band began to record demos at Luthfi’s studio.

The band’s music is known to fall under the umbrella of indie rock, until now the genres are identified as post-punk revival / garage rock / alternative rock. Sugar Bitter has drawn on a number of varied sources to create their alternative rock sound. Listing The Strokes, Cage the Elephant, Arctic Monkeys, Milburn, Dead Sons, The Black Angels, Temples, The Clash, etc. among their influences, the band have gradually developed both their song writing style and musical presentation over the course of their songs. Sugar Bitter also influenced by psychedelic-rock, stoner-rock, blues-rock, jungle-pop/rock, desert rock, and many more in between.

The band has released their first single ‘Story Teller’ on early 2013. And the following single, ‘Circle of Life’ was released as well on late 2013. ‘Circle of Life’ single was also included in the compilation album ‘Aliansi Musik’ edition October 2014 (link: http://www.deathrockstar.club/aliansi-musik-oktober-2014/) which initiated by DEATHROCKSTAR (Indie Webzine based on Jakarta, Indonesia).

The band has also released Demo EP on 2014 listing: Storyteller, Circle of Life, and Melancholic Triumph (with the Storyteller and Circle of Life as, respectively, the first and second single of the band).

Recently, the band has released debut EP, Spark Plug, on 24 April 2016, at a kind of a party they called “Spark Show” in Semarang. At Spark Show, Sugar Bitter invited some fellow local bands: Moiss, Gold Thief, and Soundgrass. And also, one band from Yogyakarta, Kavvah. Approximately one month before the day of the EP launching, Sugar Bitter released new Single entitled Caffeinated Man via Soundcloud, which could be freely streamed at Sugar Bitter Soundcloud.

Indonesian born Producer & Dj’s, Edo Maulana and Dimas Riezki, semarang based duo known as BRITBOYS. Starts digging Electronic Dance Music since 2012, This project Officially inaugurated in 2014, have bounced between Trap, Grime, Bass, Hip-hop, taking pieces from each genre away with them. Always giving the difference selection of music in town. Influenced by RL Grime, Hudson Mohawke, Skrillex, Flume, etc.

BRITBOYS akan merilis single pertama  “ 20:12 “, dari judul single itu menggambarkan beberapa artian di dalamnya, diantaranya adalah

- 20:12 sama dengan 2012             Tahun dimana masing masing dari personil mulai explore          

            mengenai edm lebih jauh dan pada taun tersebut materi single ini  

            digarap.

- 20:12 sama dengan jam 8 malam lebih 12 menit            Di mana jam-jam pergejolakan dunia malam mulai bergerak atau

           orang orang mulai bergerak mencari hiburan hiburan malam yang

           ada. Disini kami ingin menggambarkan dimana pada single ini

           BRITBOYS mulai “menyalakan mesin” nya untuk mulai bergerak

           jauh kedepan di industri ini. Dan design tersebut akan kami angkat

           pada merchandise untuk single tersebut.
