This year I got to attend my first comicon, heading to Baltimore this past September. Highlight of the trip? Meeting Wendy and Richard Pini of Elfquest fame and getting a hand drawn sketch of Redlance, one of my favorite characters. I got the last sketch of the show. Special thanks to Wendy for taking the time to do one more for me. It was the end of a long weekend for those two and she was spent, but I think they could tell I was long-time fan. Did the t-shirt give it away?
The Complete #Elfquest Volume Four arrived today! It was supposed to be here between January 3rd to 11th. I ordered Volumes Two, Three, & Four. Each shipping in order, and Four was last to ship. It shipped the 27th, and got here first. Volume Two & Three shipped the 26. Can't wait to get them. These will be my main reading ones. #fortyyearsofpointedears my small collection that I've had to rebuild up of my #elfquest series, after I was forced to get rid of them as a child. They said they were evil and of the devil. They sure are NOT!!! If anything the person who forced me to sale them was misunderstanding of them. But I had two choices while in foster care... sell my beloved collection or not be allowed to go home until I did. What would YOU do to see your parents? I'm just blessed my Uncle and Parents still support my used to be called "bad" habbit. I finally have the whole set! I kept only finding volume 1 and 2, but then not the rest. OMG OMG LOOK WHAT JUST ARRIVED!!!! MY ELFQUEST 40TH POSTER IS HERE!!! I had said online that the had spent all my money on a bet that something of @elfquestcomics finale would be at Phoenix comic Fest, but there was nothing. So a fellow ElfQuest fan named Russ Coates ever so graciously got an extra poster which was signed and was willing to sell it to me for a great deal less then you could probably find on eBay. I was completely off track when he informed me that he had not one but three, one for me and one for someone else who also had receive nothing from the 40 years tour. And now I have this beautiful wondrous poster in my hands.
