Foto de algún día en algún lugar
Foto propia
¿Volver a casa, o dejar mi casa?
Puedo regresar a esa imagen una y otra vez.
Porque no es solo una foto.
Es una puerta.
It is a vessel for a state of being.
There is the tree, but also the brown noise.
There are the clouds, but also that moment of depth.
There are the blossoms, and with them the connections: alveoli, dendrites, rivers, the nervous system, blood, a water planet.
There is the instant in which I slipped away among sensations and patterns.
Immersed in an immense, vast whole, beyond the limits of the body, yet still tethered to it.
And then, all at once, the return: a familiar voice calling me back into presence.
—Lucy?
To return to the world. To notice that I was being watched, just as I had been watching the tree. Suddenly, the gaze changed direction. I was no longer only the one who observed. I was also a body seen. Presence, returned to me by the world.
To return home, or to leave my home?
I can go back to that image again and again.
Because it is not merely a photograph.
It is a door.
