Found this old postcard in an antique store the other day, from 1941. “Dear Gene, we’ll hows my little brother today Fine I hope and working hard and doing all the good with the women; because I’m doing all the good with them up here in wyo. Dorothy and I have been taking in some swell dances. &movies and I sure wish you were up here because you could get a swell job up here-plenty of women -very truly yours, Lane” to Mr Gene Quota post marker at 6 pm in 1941 in Wyoming. I guess mr gene never did make it to Wyoming, as this was sent to Texas, which is where I found it.
Not really rdr2 but it’d be cute to imagine Arthur would write letters like this when they were younger to John. “Sorry you can’t ve been on this trip. We’ve got a swell job and have done well at the bank. You might see us in the paper soon! I wish you were up here, be handy to have an extra man on the job. Hosea says next time maybe, seeing as how you do on your letters. Yours truly, Kilgore”
Except like half the phrases are codes and letters represents John’s aptitude with target shooting.
