Description: During the last big team sleepover before seniors leave and the roster changes, Sarah Strong and Morgan Cheli accidentally reveal they’ve been secretly dating after Sarah gets hurt making snacks and Morgan goes into full protective mode in front of the entire team.
The sleepover starts chaotic.
Which honestly means it starts normal.
The apartment is packed with blankets, snacks, random duffel bags, and way too many people yelling over each other.
Music blasts from somebody’s speaker.
KK and Kayleigh are arguing over what movie to put on.
Paige is pretending she’s retiring from civilization because she has to pack for the league soon.
Azzi keeps stealing fries off people’s plates.
Q is laying upside down on the couch scrolling on her phone while everyone keeps dramatically mourning the fact she’s leaving.
And somehow in the middle of all of it—
Sarah and Morgan are trying to act normal.
Which is hard when they’ve been secretly dating for almost four months.
Because apparently secretly dating at UConn is impossible.
Especially when Morgan physically cannot stop touching Sarah.
Little things.
Hand on her back.
Stealing her hoodies.
Fixing her braids absentmindedly.
Looking at her too long after practice.
Sarah notices every single thing.
Pretends she doesn’t.
Kelis notices too.
Kelis notices EVERYTHING.
Right now she’s sitting on the counter watching Morgan stare at Sarah from across the kitchen with the most obvious expression ever.
“…you’re actually down horrendous,” Kelis mutters.
Morgan immediately looks away.
“I literally don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Mmhm.”
Sarah is standing at the counter cutting strawberries completely unaware of the conversation.
Or pretending to be.
KK suddenly appears beside her dramatically.
“Sarah.”
Sarah doesn’t look up.
“What.”
KK steals a strawberry.
“You know Kayleigh thinks she can beat me one-on-one.”
Kayleigh immediately yells from the couch:
“I CAN.”
Sarah snorts softly.
Morgan smiles instantly at the sound.
Kelis sees that too.
“Oh my God,” she whispers. “You’re sick.”
Morgan rolls her eyes.
Meanwhile KK keeps talking directly in Sarah’s ear trying to distract her while Kayleigh joins in yelling.
Sarah laughs quietly.
Then—
“Ow—shit.”
Everything stops.
The knife clatters softly against the cutting board.
Sarah jerks her hand back immediately.
Blood starts dripping almost instantly.
And everybody loses their minds.
“OH MY GOD.”
“Sarah?!”
“BRO THAT’S A LOT OF BLOOD.”
“GET A TOWEL.”
Paige nearly falls off the couch trying to stand up.
KK looks horrified because technically this is her fault.
But Morgan moves first.
Immediately.
Like instinct.
“Sarah.”
Her voice changes completely.
Calm.
Focused.
She’s at Sarah’s side in seconds gently grabbing her wrist.
“Hey hey hey look at me.”
Sarah’s blinking fast now more startled than anything.
“I’m fine—”
“No you’re not.”
Morgan carefully pulls her toward the sink.
“Move,” she tells KK softly but firmly.
KK moves SO fast.
Everyone else is panicking in the background while Morgan runs cool water over Sarah’s hand carefully.
Her hands are steady.
Her expression isn’t.
Because she looks terrified.
“Does it hurt bad?”
Sarah shakes her head slightly.
“It’s okay.”
Morgan gives her a look.
“Sarah.”
That tone immediately softens Sarah a little.
“…a little.”
“Okay,” Morgan says quietly. “Okay, I got you.”
BROOOOO.
Kayleigh whispers:
“…oh they are IN LOVE in love.”
KK smacks her arm.
Kelis is literally trying not to scream.
Morgan keeps holding Sarah’s hand under the water while checking the cut carefully.
“Can somebody get the first aid kit?”
Azzi tosses it over immediately.
Morgan catches it one-handed.
Still not letting go of Sarah.
The whole room slowly quiets watching this happen.
Because this is not friend behavior anymore 😭
Morgan walks Sarah to the couch afterward and sits beside her.
Close.
Like REALLY close.
Sarah lets her.
Morgan carefully wraps the bandage around her finger while rubbing her knee absentmindedly with her thumb.
“You’re okay,” Morgan murmurs softly.
Sarah watches her the entire time.
Completely gone.
“Sorry,” Sarah says quietly.
Morgan immediately looks up.
“For what?”
“Ruining snack duty.”
Morgan actually laughs softly.
“You sliced your finger open and THAT’S what you’re worried about?”
Sarah shrugs slightly.
Morgan finishes the bandage.
Then without thinking—
leans over and kisses Sarah softly on the cheek.
“you’re okay baby.”
Silence.
Dead silence.
Nobody moves.
Nobody breathes.
Then:
KK sits upright so fast she nearly falls off the couch.
“…BABY?!”
The room EXPLODES.
“WHAT???”
“OH MY GOD.”
“I KNEW IT.”
“NO WAY.”
Paige starts screaming.
Azzi is literally hitting the couch cushions yelling.
Kayleigh points dramatically:
“I TOLD YALL.”
Ashlyn looks completely unsurprised.
Kelis is crying laughing because she’s been holding this in for WEEKS.
Sarah immediately closes her eyes.
“…oh my God.”
Morgan freezes beside her.
Then slowly looks around at everyone staring.
And instead of denying it—
she just sighs.
“…well.”
KK screams:
“WELL?????”
Morgan finally laughs helplessly.
And Sarah—
Sarah just leans into her shoulder smiling despite herself.
Because honestly?
At least they don’t have to hide anymore.
