I almost didn't post this photo. I almost let the insecurities of others keep me from posting a photo I feel beautiful and strong in. Why? Because this is my 3 month postpartum body and I live in a society that only sees one postpartum body type and not the beauty and diversity of all bodies. Just like all other mothers in the world I grew a human being and like most mothers in the world I pushed that human out of my vagina and like many mothers in the world I did it all naturally without any medical intervention. I love my body. I am proud of its capabilities. Proud of its strength. Proud that its my shell. I feel beautiful and strong in this photo because I am beautiful and strong, just like all the mothers in the world.
