#fox sweater

ALL OF THE SWEATER PIECES ARE DONE!!! Here is what they look like pinned together, I haven’t seen them together yet.

I finished them a while ago actually, right now I’m working on blocking them all, then I’ll move on to sewing.

Unfortunately blocking is a very slow process because I don’t have a lot of space to lay everything out, and waiting for the pieces to dry takes a while. But we’re in the home stretch!!!

Hmm

So I got and stared the Project Hail Mary fox sweater and in the kit there was a yarn substitution for the grey (paw prints). Which fine that's allowed, but the grey they subbed with it too light. It needs to be a few shades darker to really contrast the cream/oatmeal of the main.

So I think I might go to the yarn store tomorrow and do a sub of my own. Bring the band and a hank of the main colour and see if I can find a grey that will work better. It also means I can buy enough to do proper fair isle along the bottom and not the intarsia the pattern vaguely wants you to do.

WIP Wednesday

I'm making the fox sweater from Project Hail Mary. This is the second thing I've knitted and I'm super proud of it. This is the back panel and so far theres one leg on one of the foxes and I'm beginning on its second leg

The biggest peice is done, so it only gets easier from here, right? 😅

But seriously, anyone have advice how to block acrylic? I dont have a steamer, so im gonna try wet/spray blocking and see how things go. I'm using the ultra cheap redheart yarn.

I have a trout sweater & it inspired me to draw Ryland & I as animal sweater buds.

The costume crew changing his sweater from wolves to foxes to match his silly goofy personality makes me so soft.
