and then maul gets slightly distracted from his revenge quest when he realises sidious Has the coruscant guard. and he cannot allow that to continue actually. he still isn't getting involved in the war he is just getting the guard off coruscant and indeed out the core entirely. he doesn't care about the consequences of this. he'll get back to his revenge plot once it's sorted. it takes way longer than it shld cuz the guard are insane and mostly do not want to leave
