Make the Haiku about me and you got a deal.

So, why don't they fit your cosmology anymore??

Agree. If we could know more about the whole setup we might be able to give suggestions or advice.
Currently, I’m just saving them to use later, either in a different project, or for them to worshiped by a specific culture that doesn’t yet exist.
Pretty much I’ve just stripped it down to basics, what I had was too complicated and too rooted in pathfinder clerics and the alignment system. So I have gods of the celestial objects (and there are only three, because the planet has rings and we’re pretty sure the sky’s too bright to see other planets), and then gods that personify natural forces, which will be another 3-6 deities. I’m workin on figuring out what I want, there.
For day to day shit, people pray to some sort of saints that I haven’t come up with a word for (because “saints” is too loaded and “paragons” is too dragon age), either just for the spirit/force that they represent, or as an intercessor for a higher power. So a lot of our old gods are getting recycled here - demystified/humanized with a sprinkling of miraculous occurrences (and we had a few gods who were ALREADY just humans who did awesome things and were raised to godhood, two of them have the word saint in their names).
This is probably where the story/history gods would fit. But they’re just TOO godlike and mythological, and making them more human would completely change what they are.
The basic thought is that there are a few big gods who sort of everyone gives some deference to, even if maybe it’s half-assed, but then otherwise faith is very regionalized.
In terms of gaming, I like it because it’s not overwhelming (i run for new players a LOT), and allows for a lot of creative input from anyone at the table. And it could let me fuck around with the same 8-10 gods forever if I wanted to, but if I get sick of St Michelle (or whoever) I can just move to a different time period or region and start from scratch.

I mean... You could put MORE dice in there, but at the cost of those delicious starbursts.
The starbursts are enemies, they’re non-negotiable.

I think he's played Oblivion but not Morrowind.
But there’s nothing to scoff at in the Morrowind section of the conversation. I think I must have blacked out. IT’S FINE I JUST CAN’T TRUST MY BRAIN ANYMORE. Old people are like this all the time

I think we need more data before we can hypothesize.
I mean, the data is contradictory and confusing. A wild guess would probably be just as accurate.

That’s crazy. Where did he move from? I thought it was like Missouri…
He’s from Arkansas - Montgomery county. It was actually part of a long conversation about how you don’t shovel and don’t move your car or leave the house until the snow is gone, because everything is closed anyway, so why would you? (Even Walmart? I asked)
