dr. ido finds this body years prior to finding gally’s remains, inside a downed ship on the outskirts of the scrapyard hinted at being a lost relic of the terraforming wars ( a pivotal battle sparked over the fight of resources between earth & venus against jupiter. it’s responsible for shaping much of the universe battle angel takes place in. ) the cyborg body when found remained fully functional despite the users brain being long lost. recognizing the superior technology he brought it back to his clinic for study. realizing later what could happen should the body fall into the wrong hands ido locked it away in his collection. after gally’s devastating battle with makaku she ( along with the doll body ) was near completely destroyed. wanting to give her continued life & have her be able to wield power that he knew she deserved & was meant to have ido makes the decision to attach her to it.
this body provided gally with a considerable power upgrade. in it she experiences her ability to wield plasma as well as generate electromagnetic fields ( first used to hold back flames from a final explosion from makaku’s defeat. ) she remains in this body & carries out a successful hunter career in it until the tragic loss of yugo. there in which its given up & locked away once again.
