Coming to EU Later in Life
There was an old story told to me by my grandfather, of a woodsman and his huldra wife, a jealous mist maiden’s curse, and our shortened life. I thought it was a family myth, but his stories about us being Norwegian were proven true by DNA test. And after reading the the pamphlet given to new staff, I begin to wonder. Iron allergies, hypersensitivity to salt and sun, not to mention a series of events and medical histories that puts 90% of us in the ground before we reach 50, and 100% by 60. I worry, was taking this job as a medical lab technician at EU was the right thing to do? Will help, or hinder? Either way at 30… I don’t have much life to lose.
