Spaces Volume 2, by Frankie Magazine

I visited WA in February to see my best friend Kate and we took a camping trip south to Margaret River. It was a beauty! Beaches, sunshine and vineyards galore!

The only problem was that I didn’t reapply enough sunscreen on the first day and ended up with a crispy back and sunstroke. Apparently drinking red wine that evening to relieve the pain was also a bad idea because before I knew it i’d woken up the next morning with red raw skin and an inability to stand up in the shower for longer than 2 minutes before Bean had to rescue my faint and naked butt from the cubicle. Oops.

The answer? A trip to Margaret River Bakery. The most glorious purveyor of baked goods we’d ever set eyes upon! We pulled up two comfy, well-worn armchairs, delighted over our yummy breakfasts and flicked through their complimentary magazines. If this was being ill than I certainly couldn’t grumble.

This SPACES magazine caught my eye immediately because of its beautiful, fun cover and because it’s published by Frankie Press who are lovely. I can’t remember the last time I sat and read for pleasure for 3 hours, but 2 flat whites and 260 pages later I was in my element and thinking sunstroke wasn’t such a bad thing.

Now i’m back in the UK i’m thinking that although I pored over this edition from cover-to-cover I could still probably do with a copy of my own so i’m going to have a little explore for British stockists. And in the meantime this video featuring Sass Cocker and her Little Gold Studios is beautiful!
