Andddddddd it is Monday again tomorrow. No, just no. 😩😩😩
Woke up an hour before my alarm (typical…my body just doesn’t get it)… and watched the power turn off in my house. 🙃
So now I’m sitting here by my phone’s flashlight (because it’s still dark outside at this awful hour)…hoping that the power is back on before I have to start getting ready for work in 20 minutes. 😭
Like, FREAKING Mondays.
Getting out of bed was the worst decision I made today.
Oh my god, I ate so much pizza. I'm so happy right now. I want to celebrate with more pizza.
Me, eating pizza.
My List of Demands...
A half-height bookshelf to replace the one that just collapsed.
A way to keep Lenny out of the piles of books stacked against the wall because THEY ARE ORGANIZED EXACTLY THE WAY THEY NEED TO GO BACK ON THE SHELF WHEN I GET A NEW ONE AND YOU WILL JUST TIP THEM OVER YOU GIANT CLUMSY FURBEAST! A second curtain panel to match the SOLITARY curtain panel I bought earlier today (and seriously, why just stock one curtain panel in the first place? Does anyone ever buy just one? Who are these freaks!? Also, this particular curtain claims to reduce noise. How the hell....?) (File under: things that don't actually exist in this known universe...) A wireless card that doesn't lag out for my PC while playing Diablo III because this maze-o-ethernet-cord is just a giant ball of string for Lenny and OF COURSE the DSL jack and the computer are on opposite ends of the room. A stand for the modem and the router so they don't get clogged with cat hair from sitting on the floor since I took away their former shelf for emergency replacement bookshelf duty. A futon that is actually comfortable (does such a thing even exist? Probably not). Approximately 3 more hours in that time span between when I get home from work and when I need to go to bed. That way I would actually have time to read this real estate book I'm supposed to be studying for my broker's license instead of having to choose between it and reading for recreation. Or watching Shakespeare. Or Stephen Colbert. Or endlessly surfing Tumblr. Because, really, that broker book doesn't stand a chance in hell in comparison to, well, anything else. I'm sure there are other things. But these will do for a start.
I have done the impossible: This Monday was fantastic.
Before you being an earnest search for other indicators of the Apocalypse, just read.
Won my challenge in band like a boss. Still principal.
Found out I got into All-State Band.
Got ISSMA score sheets back, and I was half a point away from a perfect score on my solo.
Successfully asked my boyfriend to the Sadie Hawkins dance. More on that later.
That horrible moment when you remind yourself tomorrow is Monday.
