im literally having an anxiety attack thinking about my place in the world. if white folks are allowed to be white without having to give a second thought to people of color i am allowed to be black without having a second thought to whiteness and im so fucking pissed bc colonization and imperialism and slavery took that away from black and brown people. now in order to tell our stories they have to be set against a narrative of whiteness and the damage that whiteness has done to us. liek thats why i look at south asian films with so much reverence bc with all of their problems these people existed and survive in a world where whiteness is limited and there is so many of them and such an abundance of MANY different stories. GOD my mother had a shitty life but she met her first white person when she was 23. but my mother still had to live in a world, in a country, that had only freed itself from whiteness by force 20 years early like i swear to god.

Ohmygod EVERYTHING about the new kny ep was absolutely amazing. i have no words. the music, the animation, the fighting, the emotions… i am so in love with this arc. Tengen and Gyutaro's fight, Tengen telling Tanjiro to run at the end, Tanjiro and his mark, all three boys kicking ass… 😭😭 i mean even the end credit scenery and music. Also the amount of pain i felt watching Tengen and Tanjiro get injured the way they did.. ugh i just.. IT WAS SO GOOD
