You get hurt

❀Edward panics the moment he hears. He’s immediately running to worst-case scenarios. What if it’s life-changing? What if you need to spend an extended period of time in the hospital? Do you have health insurance? Edward has all of these worries floating around his head. 

❀Things spiral for Edward if he’s not allowed to go to you straight away. The fears and concerns circle around his mind like a flock of vultures. He pleads with his superiors, but they tell him they need him to finish his shift. Edward loves his work, but you will always be more important.

❀When Edward finally gets to you, he’s brought everything you might need. He himself, a bunch of medical supplies, food, etc. He’s run over his collection of items a dozen times. He’s already committed to taking care of you. He’s going to call in the morning. 

❀When he sees you, Edward feels slightly relieved, knowing you're alive helps his heartbeat slow significantly. Edward is wondering how you managed to get in such a state. However, right now he needs to help you get better. Once you get better than he can ask questions that are plaguing his mind. 

❀Edward listens to everything the Doctors have to say. He stores all of the information about the treatment plan in his mind. When you’re asked if you have someone at home, Edward immediately rushes in. Says he’ll take you home with him while you recover. 

❀Edward’s an excellent caregiver. He carefully manages your pain medication, and he makes sure you're eating and drinking adequately. No task is too big for Edward. He’s going to make sure you're one hundred per cent before anything else. 

❀While you’re recovering, Edward gathers information, learning about what happened to you. He never pushes; however, he’s determined to understand. Edward’s most desperate answer: Who? Who is the cause of this injury? With this information gathered, Edward proceeds to knows everything about them. 

❀He’s going to force them into insanity. They are going to wish they had never glanced upon you. Edward’s going to take his revenge slowly and methodically. No one hurts you and gets away with it.

Victor Zsasz is obsessed with you

❀All it takes is one glance, Victor knows he has to have you. He’s fascinated by your every move, the way in which you go about your world. Victor keeps low while he watches you from afar.

❀From that moment. Victor follows you everywhere. Silently, discreetly, he’s watching you, taking out anyone who poses a threat. Another tally on his body, he doesn’t care; no one gets to touch you, to look at you, to interact with you in a way he doesn’t like. 

❀Which leads him to do research in learning everything about you. He wants to know where you work, where you live, who's in your life, down to the smallest of details, favourite food, favourite colour, etc. 

❀Once the information is gathered, Victor begins to work on a plan to induct himself into your life. Victor doesn’t make it abrupt; he’s subtle. A meeting, crossing paths in the street. It takes him weeks, but little by little, he begins to make your acquaintance. He keeps a book of information so he knows exactly where you’re at. 

❀It’s also something to remind him of the progress you’re making. The day you first smiled at him. The day your eyes first met. It’s all documented. When he’s finished for the day, Victor likes to look at it, to remind himself of what he’s working toward. 

❀Victor doesn’t tell anyone, keeping you his secret. He doesn’t want anyone to persuade him not to do it. He doesn’t want anyone knowing for the first time that he has a weakness. Perhaps it is why Victor makes sure he’s ready, ready to protect you just in case. He’s vigilant when he’s around you, checking to see if anyone’s lurking around. Victor becomes prepared for anything. 

❀You consume Victor’s every waking thought, when he’s working, when he’s lying in bed at night. Victor cannot help it; you’ve overcome his senses, filled them in a new and exciting way. Victor doesn’t know what you’ve done to him, but he’s not going to let you go.

Oswald Courting you

❀When Oswald decides to court you, he knows he has to do things properly and with precision. Before he begins his pursuit, he has everything planned out. He needs this to go well. 

❀Oswald wants to show what he can offer you. If there’s anything you want, Oswald will use his connections to get it for you. 

❀Oswald starts having his men follow you around so he can ensure your safety he doesn’t want anything bad to happen to you. 

❀Oswald finding a way to keep you close, that could mean giving you a job or inserting himself into your life one way or another. He needs to be able to keep his eyes on you. 

❀Oswald inviting you to the Iceberg Lounge. He’ll give you a private section. He spoil you with the most expensive things in the Lounge etc. 

❀Oswald is showering you with expensive gifts. Nothing is too good. He makes sure to deliver them personally, so you are aware it’s from him. He doesn’t trust anyone enough to handle matters with you. 

❀Oswald takes you out every couple of days, he’s always thinking of new places and date ideas. He wants to show you how fresh and exciting things can be.

Cuddling

❀One of Edward’s favourite things to do is to get home to you. To settle down on the couch with you after a long day. He drags the blanket from the back of the couch, wrapping it around you both. 

❀Edward likes to hold you close. Likes to place his head on top of yours. Knowing you're safe in his arms. Sometimes it’s enough to allow Edward to doze off, especially after a long day. 

❀Edward likes to read while your legs in his lap. He’ll read it to you sometimes, or sometimes you’ll read alongside him. Edward finds himself casually stroking your leg unconsciously. 

❀On the particularly rough days, Edward will curl up to you. He rests his head onto his chest. He needs to feel close to you. To escape from the outside world. You’re the only one who understands him, who truly sees him. He feels safe with you, like being himself is enough. 

❀Edward is usually the one who initiates cuddles. He likes being close to you. Likes being able to smell your scent, to feel your skin against his. 

❀He doesn’t do it often, but Edward would circle his arms around you while you’re cooking or doing other household chores etc. 

❀His favourite position is to have you lying on top of him. He likes the pressure of you on top of him. Likes being able to hold you as tight as he wants. 

❀When you ask for cuddles, he smiles brightly. He’ll pull you in close, giving you a safe place away from the rest of the world. 

❀Edward likes to talk while you’re cuddling. To catch up on respective days. To talk about anything you need to discuss. Edward likes to use this time to talk about your relationship and anything you need to improve, work on or solve.

Dating

❀Edward takes your relationship very seriously. He doesn’t have a lot of experience. He wants to make sure he doesn’t mess it up. He’ll read books about it if he has to. 

❀Edward questions why you’re with him at times. He’s faced too much scrutiny, he doubts himself. The longer you’re together, the more confident he feels. 

❀Edward likes to take note of all your little quirks. He’s good at remembering the things most people wouldn’t notice. The way you like your drinks, how you like your clothes laid out etc. 

❀Edward likes to write you riddles for you to work out. He’ll leave them around for you to hide. 

❀Edward always gives you his jacket when you're cold. He doesn’t want you to get sick. He’ll remind you when you’re not looking after yourself. 

❀Edward is fiercely protective of you. He refuses to allow anyone to disrespect you. You’re his and no-one gets to treat you poorly. 

❀If you didn't work at the GCPD, Edward would visit you during his lunch break. He’d bring you lunch to make sure you’d eaten. 

❀He also likes to meet you at work if possible. He likes to take you home to make sure you’re safe. He worries about your safety knowing how notorious Gotham is for its criminal activities 

❀Edward talks about you whenever he can. You become his favourite subject. Always talking about how perfect you are. He’ll share memories from the time you’ve spent together etc. He doesn’t care that people around him don’t care. 

❀Edward likes to plan dates, he’ll try and schedule them when you’re not busy. He’ll have physical copies of your schedules so he can work out when your both free. He loves to take you to museums, to dinner etc. 

❀Edward is also a fan of nights in. He likes to spend the evening at his place or yours, watching a movie ordering take-out. It gives him time to recharge his social battery.

Will you have lunch with me?

Summary; You're sick and tired of Edward facing mockery from a group of officers at the GCPD, after observing the interaction, Edward decides he wants to spend more time with you! Pairing; Edward Nygma x Reader Wordcount; 510 A/N; Hey my lovelies, back with another drabble. I hope you enjoy

You observed the group of police officers, laughing, chatting casually as if they weren’t being cruel. Almost as if they weren’t making a mockery of Edward Nygma moments before. They thought too much of themselves, bigging themselves up because they worked the streets. Yet who practically solved the cases they were too stupid solve. Who worked in forensics doing complicated Chemistry to help uncover the truth. 

It wasn’t them that was for sure. 

It appeared to go over Edward’s head how cruel they were being. Perhaps he didn’t notice, or perhaps he was pretending not to care. Nevertheless they shouldn’t talk down to him like that. Especially when he was more intelligent than all of them combined. 

You gathered up the paperwork from your desk, about to take them to Jim’s desk and then to records. As you walked past them, you hesitated for a moment contemplating whether or not you were going to say anything. 

You couldn’t allow them to get away with it. 

“Perhaps you should stop it! Edward has done nothing wrong! You’re not funny, you’re not cool. You’re simply pathetic. Grown men acting like children!” With a chorus of ooo’s you walked off. You didn’t care, it wasn’t them which mattered to you. 

“You didn’t have to do that.” Your turned startled. Edward stepped out from the shadows a smile on his face, question mark mug in hand. 

“Yeah I did. They can’t make a mockery of you. Not when you’re smarter than all of them put together.” 

“You think so?” 

“Half of the cases in the GCPD wouldn’t have been solved without you. Most of them out there don’t care, most of them are corrupt. But you do.” 

“I just like puzzles that’s all. Putting everything together. Where were you heading?” 

“Oh, Jim asked for these files, then to records.” 

“Fancy some company?” 

“Sure.” Edward followed you casually conversing as you placed the files onto Jim’s desk, before heading to records. Conversing with Edward was easy. He was knowledgeable in so many areas.

“Well, here we are.” Edward unlocked the door with the key hung around his neck, allowing you in. You stepped into the doorway, Edward towered over you slightly, looking up at him, he glanced down at you with a grin. When a gentle hand touched your bicep, you turned to wander into records.  

“Wait, I was wondering…I was wondering…if perhaps you’d like to have lunch with me…today.” Stopping you halted your movements turning back to give him a shimmering smile. Edward immediately perked up. Perhaps his unusual confidence hadn’t gone to waste at all. You were his little confidence boost on a bad day. 

“Yeah, I’d like that.” 

“Did you bring lunch? Because I know a great sandwich shop on fourth we could go to. Get out of here for a while.” 

“Yeah, I’d like that. Meet you at my desk in an hour or so.” Edward’s eyes gleamed as he bowed before beginning to walk away. 

“Remember to wear your jacket. It’s awfully cold today, I wouldn’t want you getting sick.”

Dating Alfred Pennyworth...

❀Alfred is hesitant to start dating. His main focus is on Bruce's wellbeing. He can't have any distractions. Even if he does find himself lonely most nights once Bruce has gone to bed.

❀However, it is Bruce who pushes Alfred. He doesn't let up and refuses to allow Alfred to suffer because of him. At one point Bruce tells Alfred it would be good to have a woman around the house.

❀Alfred asks Bruce if he's sure at least three times. He needs to be certain.

❀When Alfred starts dating he's cautious. He doesn't rush into things, taking his time. He likes to arrange dates during the day so he can be home when Bruce comes home from school.

❀When he meets you, Alfred knows there's something there. There's something about the way you conduct yourself. Alfred knows he's looking for something long-term. He's not going to bring people in and out of Bruce's life.

❀Alfred is an old-school gentleman. He is going to hold outdoors for you, insist he drives you everywhere. He's going to pay for the dates he takes you on. When you're with him, your safety is his priority. When you're with Alfred you've got nothing to fear.

❀Alfred is the kind of gentleman to give you his jacket when you're cold.

❀Alfred does not kiss on the first date. Being the respectful gentleman he is, he'll kiss you on the cheek.

❀Alfred would prefer to take you on dinner dates or a walk around the park. Any opportunity to talk so he can get to know you more.

❀Alfred would bring something to every date. Flowers, chocolate, anything that reminds him of you.

❀Alfred is slow initially in the progression of your relationship. He takes his time as things build.

❀He'll try and see you as frequently as possible, but he has a busy schedule with Bruce. Bruce will always come first.

❀Alfred desires to wait at least a year before you and Bruce meet. However, Bruce is far more impatient as the months go on. He goes around asking Alfred questions repeatedly. Even when Alfred informs him it's none of his business.

❀Introducing you to Bruce is the single most nerve-wracking thing he's ever done. He needs it to go well. By this point, Alfred has grown fond of you. He's beginning to see a future with you and for that to happen he needs you to have a good relationship with Bruce.

❀He's never been more relieved when it goes well.

❀Late-night calls. When Alfred's schedule is too hectic, he'll try and make time for you in the evening so you can at least talk. He'll ask about your day, how things have been going at work etc.

Late night Revelations

Victor found pleasure in a few things; killing, eighties disco music, freshly baked cookies and you.

You were opposites to Victor; you held a normal nine-to-five, and you saw the goodness in everyone you met. You shied away from violence. It took months of strenuous convincing to get you to learn self-defense. The first time you held a gun it trembled in your hand.

Yet Victor couldn't risk your safety. He had to be certain you could protect yourself. At least until the moment, he sought out the individual who hurt you, then they would his wrath.

It didn't take long as Victor's bare feet padded into the kitchen. There you were, moonlight guiding him to what his heart desired most. You looked ethereal as he wrapped his arms around your waist, smirking when you jumped. Lost to your thoughts.

"It's only me," Victor whispered slowly swaying you from side to side. Victor smiled into your cheek when he felt your body melt against his.

"What you doing awake, pretty girl?"

"Couldn't sleep."

Victor pressed a tender kiss to the column of your throat. Pulling you back towards his bare chest. His hand finds its way under your sleep shirt to rest on your bare stomach drawing small lazy circles.

"Why didn't you wake me?"

"You've been working flat out lately."

Whilst that was true, Victor had been with Carmine until the early hours. Victor didn't care. His work was important to him. He enjoyed his work, yet you were his top priority.

Sleep deprived or not.

"Don't care. I hate sleeping without you anyway." Victor untangled you from his arms, opting to take your hand instead. Leading you the short distance towards your bedroom.

Within the safety of your shared bed. Victor got himself comfortable as your head made his way to his bare chest. With an arm draped lazily around your waist, his other came to rest on top of your hand.

"You can talk to me…if something's bothering you."

Victor felt you raise your head, he could feel your gaze but couldn't quite see you in the darkness of the room. He was almost tempted to turn the bedside table light on, for just a glimpse but it wouldn't help matters.

"Work's being demanding. The stack of papers on my desk. eeps growing. My manager's been on at me."

Victor had seen you come home exhausted and burnt out. Too frequently if you asked him. You gave everything to your job, working out of hours, and always worried about getting a report sent over. He knew your talent was being wasted at your current job.

He also knew you wouldn't leave. You were too loyal which in any other circumstance he admired. However, he refused to let someone treat you this way. He refused to witness your struggle.

"Your calling in sick tomorrow." "Vic, you know I can't do that." "Then I'll do it for you." Victor wasn't going to argue with you on this. The decision was made. Even if he could sense the roll of your eyes in protest.

"You're also coming to work with me tomorrow." "But Carmine-Why?" "Carmine won't mind. Besides, I know if I leave you alone then you'll just work from home." Victor pressed a kiss onto your forehead to soften the demand he was making. He didn't like to put his foot down, however, right now your welfare was his only concern. "Okay." "We're also going to talk to him…to get you a better job."
