Fred and Luna serve as the muse for Rainer Buchmüller, a musician from Karlsruhe. With previous releases on Optimo Music and Frank Wiedemann from Âme label Bigamo Musik, "Im Tiefenrausch" is his second LP exploring melodic soundscapes, motorik beats and marked krautrock influences. 

A mesmerizing trip from Krautland through Electronic Fields to Hypnotonia‒exploring the textures of haunting melodies, lucious dreamscapes and tribal, dancefloor-ready beats. After their highly acclaimed debut album “Im Klanggarten” (on Bigamo – label of Frank Wiedemann / Âme), this is Fred und Luna’s next fascinating step in their “Elektrokraut/Krautelektro” series.

Obskurer Electropop aus meiner Hometown – Karlsruhe - und ich bin erst kürzlich darüber gestolpert. Rainer Buchmüller und eine Schaufensterpuppe verstecken sich hinter Fred und Luna. Vier Alben wurden zwischen 2017 und 2023 eingespielt und gingen leider an einer breiteren Öffentlichkeit (einschließlich mir) komplett vorbei. Dies obgleich der in 2024 verstorbene Buchmüller zuletzt auf den einflussreichen Compost-Label veröffentlichte. Die Musik von Fred und Luna stammt direkt aus der frühen deutschen New-Wave / NDW Szene liegt irgendwo zwischen DAF, Rheingold, Andreas Dorau und in den deulicher Krautrock akzentuierten Momenten bei Tangerine Dream. Sehr spannend – hier ein erster Taster: Aurum C

Future Sounds Of Kraut Vol. 3 - Compiled by Fred und Luna It's not at all easy or basically impossible to describe the term “Kraut” stylistically. Nevertheless, Compost Records and Fred und Luna embark on a journey through time to discover the different elements of German electronic music from the 1970s and 1980s and their impact on the more recent German and global music scene. After the great success of Volumes 1 and 2, Vol. 3 follows on stylistically from its predecessor and - as this is one of the basic ideas of the series - gradually expands the musical spectrum with new krauty elements.
