Pushover is a 1954 American film noir crime film directed by Richard Quine starring Fred MacMurray, Phil Carey and Kim Novak (all of 20 in her first credited role). The motion picture was adapted from two novels, The Night Watch by Thomas Walsh and Rafferty by William S. Ballinger. I hadn't seen this until recently. Okay... today. It's on the YouTube. I was hoping it was something akin to Double Indemnity. Meh. Not so much. It's okay. It's definitely film noir. The entire first scene is a bank being robbed in silence which is kind of an interesting storytelling choice. MacMurray and Carey are solid hard boiled tough guys. Novak is (as advertised on the poster ) a hot blooded blonde. I don't think the dialogue and story aren't tight as Double Indemnity. But it's hard to top Billy Wilder and Raymond Chandler when it comes to Noir. Cuentos de Walt Disney 217 presenta: El Perro Humano - Editorial Novaro - May 27 1960 - Mexican comic in Spanish   Four Color 985 The Shaggy Dog - Dell comics - May 1959 (Western Publishing)   Just watched this on Disney+. I have been watching a bunch of these old live action Disney movies and they are fun. This one is grandfathered into the Medfield Cinematic Universe because the 1976 sequel The Shaggy D.A. is specifically set in Medfield. Medfield Movies: The Shaggy Dog (1959) (Not actually mentioned by name) The Absent Minded Professor (1961) Son of Flubber (1963) The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes (1969) Now You See Him, Now You Don't (1972) The Strongest Man in the World (1975) The Shaggy D.A. (1976) The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes (1995) Flubber (1997)   This movie has 2 remakes. 1994 and 2006. I'm not sure if either of those take place in Medfield. The 3 after Son of Flubber feature Kurt Russel as Dexter Riley, Cesar Romero as A.J. Arno, and Joe Flynn as Dean Higgins.    I edited the Novaro scans a bit to make them more vivid.
