felt like doing one of these
So I just watched the new Free! Movie! Which I am super happy it finally came to the UK π
I saw both parts and let me just tell you a few of my thoughts.
Firstly it was amazing, truly beautiful. It took me back to 2013 and the nostalgia I felt while watching it made me so happy.
Rin and Haru are so canon at this point I can't even comprehend how romantic their storyline is and how they both need each other.
Makoto ships RinHaru more than we first thought and we appreciate him for that.
The SouMako moment in this movie was A++
I love that Kinjo was so against Haru at the beginning but by the end he was tucking him in with his jacket and offering up his place in the relay π₯Ί
Guard dogs Makoto and Sousuke π
Poor Albert. People just hate him for no reason other than him being a good swimmer- he was dealt awful cards and was doing the best he could but people still disliked him. π #justiceforalbert
Seeing Haru breakdown and cry was painful but so refreshing to see.
Haru having to scream his feelings at Rin- wether them being true or not. In a way I felt all of those things that Haru was saying were true even if they were said harshly, even if they were coming from a place of hurt and confusion. I felt like Rin couldn't even argue with them because every single one of his points were true. That entire scene was so sad to watch- side note I love that they make you re watch it at the start of part 2 π€£
Everything that Azuma said to Rin was spot on and it's something someone has been needing to tell him from the minute he got back from Australia. π thank you Azuma.
When Rin was running to find Haru to tell him "his true feelings" I was on the edge of my seat.
I knew I would cry but the moment that made me cry the most was Haruka talking to his younger self- god that hit harder than I thought it would and I love Haru so much.
Finally, the end where Rin says something like "want to see how that dream continues?" And Haru is straight up like "Sure." π sounded kinda fruity there Rin ngl π€£
Yes, if you all get chance please watch Free! Final Stroke! It was incredible- it blew my expectations out of the water and I love these swimmer boys with all my heart.
