Flashback to the Cavs - Bucks duel from a few months back in November. More specifically, the matchup between Lebron and Giannis Antetokounmpo. I’m a big fan of Giannis’ and have taken a liking to this Bucks team of Jabari, Giannis, MCW, and Greg Monroe. The Bucks aren’t doing so hot right now for whatever reason, but I’m sure they’ll figure out a way to make what they have work (or they’ll trade away players, whatever). The best comparison that I can come up with right now based on skill and physicality is that of a young Lamar Odom. In a nutshell, Giannis is a 6′11″ guard. You’ve seen it in Kevin Durant, and some traces of it in Kevin Garnett. It’s the skill set, and considering Giannis is barely 21 years old, his potential right now has no ceiling. He’s had a growth spurt since his rookie season going from 6′9″ to 6′11″. This day, he scored 33 points, shooting 12-15 from the field against Lebron’s 27 points. Not too bad of a performance I’d say. But that wasn’t enough as the Bucks lost 100 - 115.
