Soooo I think I know what Kanye meant when he made the comment about slavery. Calm down people. Yes he has said alotta CRAZY things and I’m the first to say OMG I can’t believe he said that. BUT on this one I think what he was trying to say, although not very eloquently, had everything to do with the truth. Bob Marley got it. I get it. Slavery was and is wrong. But by this point in our history as black people we must understand that we have to emancipate ourselves from mental slavery. None but ourselves can free our minds. To remain stuck in a victims cycle mentally after 100s of years is a choice. Even if someone refuses me because of the color of my skin I refuse to acknowledge their limitation as my own. #EmancipatedLongAgo #FreedomFeelsGood
