Kisumi pressed his back to the wall of the gym, drawing the back of his hand across his forehead to vanquish some of the sweat that coated the skin. The basketball he’d previous encased in his arm had been gentle set on the bench next to him, choosing to pluck his water bottle from the floor instead. He moved to uncap the object but his hand stopped to hover over the bottle. Kisumi took a few moments to think, purple hues scanning the current state of the gym.
...much too busy and stuffy, he decided.
So, Kisumi clutched his water bottle and made his way out of the court, taking a deep breath in of fresh air once he’d escaped outside. The air felt much nicer than the air trapped inside the gym; no matter how often Kisumi played basketball, he always preferred being outside over being trapped inside. He wandered away from the court’s entrance, seeing out somewhere to seat himself while he rested.
The sounds of the pool caught his attention. Out of pure curiosity, Kisumi took the very short walk to the gym’s pool and peered in at it’s only occupant.
He was not dissatisfied with the result.
“Haru...?” the name slid out of his mouth as he moved himself closer to the pool as if he were confirming his suspicions. He knelt down at the side of the pool, a large smile beaming to life when he caught gimps of the swimmer’s face.
“Haru! That is you! It’s me, Kisumi!”
