Seeing Caleb and Lin’s family in the future gives Lulu a little bit of hope that some worlds can have humans and other species co-exist in peace, even if her own world cannot be one of them. 

Since you plan on the “canon” version of Lulu dying, you bet your ass that Caleb and Renza are going to visit her grave if not funeral. Caleb will ensure that Lulu is recognized in the annals of her world’s history as the key figure she was and her name is left unsullied.
