The classic French dish is given a tasty new twist in these Chicken Cordon Bleu Burgers. Because they have Swiss cheese, ham, and seasoned breadcrumbs, they are very tasty and can be used for any occasion.
Ingredients: 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts. 4 slices Swiss cheese. 4 slices ham. 1/2 cup breadcrumbs. 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese. 1 teaspoon dried parsley. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder. Salt and pepper to taste. 4 hamburger buns. Lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise for topping.
Instructions: Warm up your pan or grill over medium-high heat. Put breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Put two pieces of plastic wrap or parchment paper on top of each chicken breast and flatten them until they are about 1/4 inch thick. On each chicken breast, put a slice of Swiss cheese and a slice of ham. Put the cheese and ham inside each chicken breast and roll it up. If needed, use toothpicks to keep it together. Cover each rolled chicken breast with the breadcrumb mixture and press it down to stick. When the chicken is 165F 75C inside, it's done. Cook it on the grill or in a skillet for about 6 to 8 minutes per side. Grill or fry the hamburger buns for a few minutes at the end of the cooking time. Put the cooked chicken on the toasted buns and top with lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise to make the burgers. Enjoy while hot!
