How To Gain Large Amounts of Frequent Flyer Points
Have you ever looked at people travelling around the world? Living in luxury and how and they’re always on the best flights and the best seats on those flights?
Well it comes down to how they’ve spent they’re money and where! One of the few things that people very rarely utilise in order to get these seats is frequent flyer points - because it sounds like you have to be a frequent flyer! Obviously.. that is one way, buy a lot of flights, get a lot of points. That’s the easy way, but if you can’t afford to take holiday leave, or afford to spend all your money travelling. Then here’s a few tips.
Purchasing Products
If you are in the market to buy some new products, and specifically from a retailers who have partnership with these frequent flyer programs, it’s worth looking at these websites to see what items and companies may be eligible for receiving frequent flyer points with this purchase. These vary from every different frequent flyer program - so make sure to check which ones are out there.
Purchasing Insurance
This is one, that those over 31 in Australia might be more familiar with, because it comes with a lot of benefits, and frequent flyer programs have a ton of marketing to sell these to us. Frequent flyer programs are constantly pumping up an increase of points for purchasing health insurance, travel insurance, Qantas in particular has a ton of these, so if you’re looking to renew or have just reached the prime age of 31 and have a compulsory need for health insurance - then make sure to keep your eyes open for these deals!
Opening up frequent flyer credit cards
These normally have the largest bonus for the least amount of work (by least amount I don’t mean least amount of money) It normally still requires you to spend a certain amount of money within the first 3 months, and in my experience American Express has the best deals with frequent flyer and purchasing minimum in order to get them. These can go up to 100,000 American Express points and translate to roughly 75,000 to 80,000 frequent flyer points. This tends to be during their deal periods though, so if you’re not in a rush, it’s worth waiting!
Using credit cards to collect points
This is a well known fact, but credit cards have such a bad rep this day and age, that you might be weary, and you’re right to be weary. As long as you are reliable and trustworthy with your credit card, it’s worth spending on and bringing in those points in!
Filling up petrol at particular petrol stations
Petrol stations again are one of those big partners of airlines, in Australia particularly Velocity and Qantas points, so make sure to bring those cards in when you’re filling up petrol, because you wouldn’t want to pass up those free points!
Home Loans
Lastly, if you’re on the market for a new home loan, keep your eye out on the big banks that have close relations again with frequent flyer programs, for example past programs have been Westpac and Velocity Points.
