Riot-Soap: Johnny is her bestie. Ride or die, thick as thieves, puzzle pieces, platonic soulmates, siblings without blood ties. They met at the SAS training course and have been inseparable since then, except from when being deployed, trying to align their leaves to go on vacation together or to the MacTavish family farm.

They are besties to the point of having the stupid pact of marrying for the benefits if they got to x age and were still single. They have the kind of friendship that makes potential relationships nervous, but they are truly, honestly, NOT attracted to each other at all. They have shared a bed or even showered together, but it's like being with a sibling. Thankfully in my fic when I get to mw3 Soap will survive, because if not she'd break down. Possibly go solo to hunt Makarov down and possibly die trying.

Riot-Gaz: They get along beautifully, basically right away because Soap had talked her up to him already. Their character and behaviour is closer than for example to Soap or Ghost, with that balance between sarcastic snark and cool temperance that could blow up at the drop of a hat. They bonded soon over cooking and sharing recipes, and she is teaching him Castilian Spanish.

They are also closer than other people think, because they are texting all the time instead of speaking face to face (they are usually with Soap, Ghost, or both). Gaz has made his life mission to make Ghost interact and feel more human, so he is always talking his ear off (more than Soap even) and she finds it hilarious and even gives him suggestions about what to talk to him.

Riot-Price: At first she was uneasy around him. Not because she felt something wrong, but because she knows she is what is wrong. Johnny had talked to her about Price plenty, and she was a bit resentful that she had been rejected twice to the 141 (spoiler: it wasn't Price tho, it was Laswell). So she was extra hard on herself, feeling that she had to prove anything.

Price only saw that barely a month in, he was seeing more of Simon than he had seen in years, so for him, it's imperative to keep her in the unit. Also, because she is fucking good at what she does in spite of everything. It wasn't long until he started asking her to help him translate intel, citing that his russian was rusty, that his german was lacking, etc etc, so it's kind of a custom by now that they have takeaway in his office once a week while she translates shit and he tries to persuade her to visit the medical wing more often (her glasgow scar is always giving problems).

Riot-Laswell: This one is kinda complicated because they have a lot of history behind. Laswell manipulated things to have Riot only be able to end up in HeadHunters because she wanted someone there that wouldn't be a jackass and a fucktard, but that pretended friendship (Riot thought it was genuine) turned very real soon and they were quite close. Nowadays Christine is fighting her resentment and trying to understand Laswell's point.

Riot-Alejandro/Rudy: They haven't met yet in my fanfic but they will. Usually she ends up in everyone's good books because Soap trusts her completely, and everyone loves Soap so she can't be bad right? Also, that she is Spanish (from Spain) will lead to plenty of friendly banter (she sure misses speaking her language even though it's not exactly the same) and good ol' ribbing.
