More than anything they cause rumors, what with their mysterious appearance, strange demeanor and odd habits. Whispers and speculations regarding what could be behind those masks circulate wildly.
Some claim they are horribly deformed, others claim the space behind the masks is empty and the two are some sort of hollow puppets. A few people even hold firmly the belief that the masks are somehow their actual faces!
But everyone knows that the last person who attempted to remove one of their masks ended up losing three of his fingers.”
