There Are Good Days ...
... and there are others.
Some of those turn out to be plain awful, some - even worse - are just dull, and some feature that strange introspective mood which may descend upon you without warning, for no apparent reason. Before you know it, shapeless, nameless memories start flooding your mind, melancholia overwhelms you, a sense of lostness - and the only thing on the upside may be that with any luck, as Kenny Everrett used to say, it's all done in the best possible taste.
Here's one suitable soundtrack for those moments: piano playing of mesmerizing beauty which, in the slowest passages, is reminiscent of Paul Bley - and there can hardly be higher praise than that.
