Fictionfolk flag - a flag for anyone with any fictional identity, or anyone who falls under the fictionfolk umbrella.
This can include but is not limited to:
Fictionkin folks
Fictionflickers
Other fictionfolk identities
Synpaths/otherhearted folks
And fictives.
The symbol was made to look like a loop/repeating, that there's no one way to define everyone's identity, and that there can be many different ways someone experiences it. The inside is supposed to look like an open book, representing the fictional aspect of the individual's identity.
Symbol and flag with titles beneath the cut.
[Flag ID: A flag with five stripes with colors from the top down being dark purple, purple, a dark peach color, orange, and dark orange.]

Question, what is a Synpath? I don't understand/know what it is?
I would just like to know/understand
Thank you!
hi there anon 👋 a synpath is someone who doesn't kin/identify with the character, but identifies WITH them. different from kin for fun/kff which is a voluntary identity as a character
honestly from what I've seen people use it every single way. I don't know if there's one exact way to use it, and if I tried to police it not much would get done 🤷♂️ this is probably not a very helpful response so I apologize, but if anyone's worried about using it correctly/incorrectly I wouldn't worry about it
as always, replies are open if anyone would like to clarify or add on
question: does this blog have a stance on endo systems
We support all fictionfolk identities, but are against ableism. And while we cannot stop anyone from interacting, the mods here are all anti endo/willogenic, and therefore will not be answering asks openly stating / supporting endogenic origins. No further asks will be answered on the topic, and no further asks should be sent in on it
hey, not a normal ask probably, but I wanted to ask. Is there a term for someone who kinda like. Adopts the personality traits of fictional characters they like? Like. I’ll find a character i really like, then start acting sorta like them. (Ex. Being more silly after watching dr who)
hi there 👋 no worries about it being a "normal ask" or not. you're all good
this may be a couple different things. a.) you just like the character and subconsciously adopt traits from them (sometimes called character mirroring), or b.) if you feel like you might be them after watching [source] it could be a fictionflicker or something similar? ultimately it might depend on if it's intentional or if you're feeling separate or if you then kin the character
hi.. I don't know if this is the right place to ask but it's the most active blog I found so sorry for the rant if this is going to be long lol
I've been recently contemplating the fictionkin/fiction folk label but I'm not sure if I can.. all of this is really new to me and all the resources I've found online only confuse me more sigh
I don't want to be a different species and I don't relate to a character... but I've recently realized that it would make me really happy to live as my oc.. like buy clothes they would like and act or talk like them too.. really different how I normally am ig. I still have to be the current 'me' like around my family or whatever but changing my entire identity sounds really nice.. does that count as fictionkin? It's my oc not like an actual character ig so I'm not sure.. and it's not like I relate to them I just really want to be them, yk? I don't know if this is just me wanting to be trans but like I don't want to be a different gender I just want to be my oc.. ig
Sorry if this is not the place to vent my frustrations! Just want to see some other perspectives and maybe if there are any resources I should check out? Thank you!!!!!!
hi anon 👋 I think that the most important thing to say here is that you are totally free to explore any labels in the community. you're welcome here, you shouldn't have to feel like you're not able to ponder stuff 🙌
as for what you've described there, the mods have thought on it, and we think that it could definitely fall under the fictionfolk umbrella. you don't have to feel like you identify as [character], you can also be them for coping reasons (copinglink), or just for fun (otherlink). it's definitely troubling to have to sort through some of those thoughts, but if you'd ever like to chat with the mods about it, the dms are always open here. hope pondering goes well 🫂
