She gives him a pair of scissors (or shears in some versions) and instructs him to pare the phantom's nails. When the phantom approaches him on the third night, La Ramée grabs it, cuts its nails, and the creature transforms into a beautiful princess who had been buried alive., she likes Halloween and going to carnivals with the Hare daughters.
