To be saved is to be doomed

Remember that time at June/July last year when I said I wanted to colour my DEJ drawings? I wasn't lying. It's just that I always want to do a dozen different things at the same time and end up doing none xD But! @adorkastock's #AdorkaStockDTIYS4 provided the perfect excuse to finally start doing this :D

Also, Shell's lore! There's... actually another piece that was supposed to go previous to this one, but for the deadline sake I just did this one first. But no matter, this can be understood without it too. This is supposed to happen right after 'the cursed apprentice', and just like it, is how Shell experienced the events of being brought back through her 'dreams'. In the cursed apprentice, Shell was sinking in water as she lost her 'light'. In here, Asra comes to pull her out, but Shell's light is still nowhere to be seen. So yeah, bringing her back was maybe not as much of a good idea as it seemed. Asra 'saved' Shell, but he also 'doomed' her to living with a curse. Also, Shell wouldn't remember any of this, and even when she has frequent nightmares about her curse, she never recalls them upon waking up.

It's been for-fucking-ever, but health issues getting in the way delays your plans like that. But anyway! Congrats to @oceans_drawings for winning 2nd prize on my 100 followers contest!! I'm sorry it took so long and hope the wait's been worth it. Your apprentice is so lovely, had a great time drawing her :3

Also, yup, this means I'm back to art. A little, anyway. I don't wanna push myself, and fucking summer and fucking heat only make things worse, but I will be going back to art when I can, at a careful pace ^^

Aaaaas a matter of fact I don't know what else to say. I either ramble to the end of times or I'm left without words pretty soon. Sooo... See you around, I guess xD

Unseathe

Am I fashionably late to the party? 🤣

So, over a month ago @camishroom made their OC Oren join the infinity trend (which I knew nothing about until that moment cause I live under a rock), and I've been toying with the idea of making Atlas join since. However, I wasn't making any real plans to do it until I recently stumbled across the perfect pose reference by @adorkastock and took it as a sign of the universe that I must draw it.

Anyway, I'm counting this as a lighting practice even tho, as usual, I didn't study anything and just bullshitted it through hoping for the best. I don't hate the result, so I'm counting it as a success. Apologies if you do understand lighting and this is hurting you xD

Aldwynn's expressions

Last, but not least, we have ambassador Aldwynn!

I think she's the one with the more 'subtle' expressions, so to speak. As in, she's a character involved in court with all its games of pretend and politeness, so she usually tries to hold her reactions under control and it's more rare for her to let slip a raw display of emotion, unless in private company. I imagine her expressions might be more 'bold' then (if/when she slips).

And maaaan, was it tiresome to make these or what? I don't think I will be doing these again. Not soon, at the very least. Probably for the better too because I bet you've had your share of chibis for a while too xD

Aldwynn Raine

Aaaand, last but not least, here's my ambassador for Errant Kingdom, Aldwynn Raine!! ❤️

I gueeeeess their LI can be anyone? Except for Livia? I think? I'm replaying the ambassador's route right now because the first time I speed ran the whole thing and I didn't do much headcanons/character building xD Anyway, as usual polyam romances are definitely there because of my polyam ass. Oh, and I forgot to put it with the info, but her alignment is neutral good (and yes I did take the test to make sure).

Also, as you can probably guess I was growing tired by the time I got to her cloak/coat, which is why it's a solid shape with no folds or wrinkles... please don't judge me, I really weanted to finish this already ^^'

Oh, and as a side note, the flower and swirly pattern on her vest will change with every drawing because I don't have the necessary self-discipline to actually keep everything in the same spot every time I draw it. So yeah. Important things is the pattern itself, no its exact placement (maybe she owns many vests and each of them has the pattern placed in a slightly different way, lol!)
