Grayson texted Petunia that he was coming to pick her up. They often spent sundays together when he wasn’t working which wasn’t often with school these days. He was waiting outside in his pickup truck when he saw her coming towards him. It didn’t matter how long they had been together, seeing her face always made him grin ear to ear.

“Daddd” Gray called out, knowing his father was currently home. “I finished the first part.” He spoke. Grayson being a creative writing student at university was constantly running his short stories by his dad to read, since he knew his dad had a good imagination and was so supportive. He liked getting his father’s feedback. He hadn’t shown this short story to his father yet but it was a short horror story that he was feeling proud of

“Friday.” He said knocking on his door. “It’s Grayson. I finished my chapter so wanted to know if you wanted to hang out and play video games or something?” He questioned. It was weird for Grayson to just randomly show up at Friday’s place, they had been friends for a while and Gray would even consider him his best friend.

Grayson was sitting in his room reading a new book that he picked up at the bookstore on his way home from school. He was always an avid reader as his room was filled floor to ceiling with books.
