Please welcome this golden girl sweetheart! 💗 She is a 14 yr old Black Lab/ Beagle mix. Her name was Bailey and the girls have decided to rename her to Pearl. She is as precious as they come. Her elderly parents were put into fulltime nursing care. She had a wonderful life with her family but it was just impossible for them to care for her any longer. Even though she is a senior herself she is still active. She had been in boarding for awhile until they could find help. Her family found out about WWSDS. We were able to take her into foster today until there is space for her at the sanctuary. She will be staying with Anna and will get the very best of care and love! Pearl is very social and a kind dog. She gets along with everyone! She has been well loved. She is a tad chunky so she will go on weight management food, this girl loves her food! Don't we all? 😊 She is hard of hearing but that is pretty normal for her age. We are so happy she is now a part of our family. Dink-a-roo is such a sweetie! Since she lost her sister this past winter it has taken her time to come out of her shell. Not only that but their owner was abusive so she has always been so timid. We have been working with this sweetheart to intentionally build her confidence!💗 It is paying off! Her sweet and sassy little personality is really showing! She now will put her little paws on you asking for hugs! She's found her voice and is barking with the best of them! We really love little rinkety Dink! The sanctuary is situated in a lake town! We are fortunate to be where people come to vacation! 😘 Kamira, one of our forever fosters is vacationing here with her foster family! She is absolutely living her best #dreamlife! 💗 Forever fostering is such a wonderful opportunity to the seniors that qualify! They get to live in a traditional family while still being kept under the wings of the sanctuary for medical care. WWSDS pays all medical... you provide love, shelter, and food until the senior passes! When you foster that opens up room for another senior at the sanctuary! Miss Tootsie roll has not been feeling too hot. 😢 She had an ultrasound this evening just to make sure nothing else was going on. She does have diarrhea, and vomitting. Everything checked out well, so for now she just has GI upset. She was put on cerenia, a gi antibitoic, and famotidine. Hopefully within a few days we'll see our normal old gal return. Thankfully nothing super serious. Tootsie's dementia does seem to be increasing. We have upped her pain management as well and are keeping her as close to comfortable as possible. This old gal is not ready to give up yet!
