Sylvia wasn’t always able to keep up with Wander’s optimism. With Dominator time and time again proving herself to be The Bad Guy she could only keep trying to convince Wander that things didn’t always work out the way they’d hope. That Dominator must have had one crazy childhood and the two wanderers couldn’t be to blame for it. But they could be there to stop her from destroying the galaxy and - Wander had already run off.
On his own in an Orbble, he dashed to find someone they must’ve missed who could help him help Dominator! The mention of her childhood had inspired him!
“Syl, I know she’s not just The Bad Guy” Wander spoke aloud to himself “If she’d open up about her childhood, we could make anything better!” It was while he ran, scanning a nearby undestroyed planet, that his Orbble burst.
“W-AAAAAUUUGH!!” That was odd. And just a little painful, but he was getting ready to make another when a voice caught his attention.
“Hey over there.. what a fall. Must be careful around here.”
“Oh tell me about it! I’m not rightfully sure what happened!” he dusted himself off, “I’m Wander by the way, hello!”
“And I’m just a merchant. Actually.. you need more Orbble Juice, right traveller?”
Wander emptied out both his shoes and was soon giving the new bubbles a try out of the merchant’s insistence. He hadn’t actually needed more Orbble Juice but then the other got him talking about his and Sylvia’s disagreement on how to handle the biggest baddie in the galaxy. At the mention of the villain’s childhood, the merchant suddenly remembered he also made Time Orbble. If Wander could go back and prevent Dominator’s path of villainy and destruction-!! Well, who knows how perfect that would be!
“Woo, the formula’s sparkly! I gotta try this!” He formed the bubble around him and promptly passed out. And he was still in the same place, the merchant sorrowfully noted.
“Stupid DIY! What a rip-off, he didn’t teleport nowhere!”
The merchant kicked the sleeping wanderer’s Orbble as hard as he could. And it went flying. “Hey.. they’re pretty durable, huh. That could still be useful.”
The merchant’s incredible leg strength sent Wander through several galaxies and bounced him against hundreds of planets until the Orbble finally seemed satisfied to pop. Now exposed to normal air, he wasn’t sleeping but still extremely groggy.
