Fruitcake fans I'm sorry chat ur faves being put on the chopping block again
It was a wonder really, somehow magically, a older much bigger version of Sprout just appears in Gardenview, but he himself looked confused as can be regarding this random situation. Things were off about how Sprout looked...one, he's taller, his body seemed a bit bigger then normal, his body sort of hunched over and his one eye is clouded, an arm absolutely matted and limp but the legs seemingly replaced with fake ones.
This caused the other toons to whisper, everyone curious on the appearance of the newcomer;if it was even Sprout Seedly himself....at least when saying Sprouts full name, the possible fake glared at Vee when she said that but didn't say anything really.
Frankly...this Possible-Sprout seemed anxious to even be there, his breathing was constantly labored so his health may be poor. This intrigued Sprout himself who was talking with Cosmo about it, "I mean...we don't got nothing to prove that it isn't me," Sprout told Cosmo. "But if it is me, then what the hell happened to me?" Sprout questions Cosmo, to which Cosmo shrugged, the most honest shrug that has ever shrugged, but he had a smile spread on his face.
"Whatever it is, I'm sure it's one of those weird cases where he'd be more then willing to talk to...well-" Cosmo chuckles nervously, his boyfriend looking down at him. "I'd imagine it'd be his younger self! I don't know...." He then frowns, averting eye contact. "Well maybe he wouldn't wanna talk with anybody!"
Sprout then smirks. "His replaced legs though," He grins. Then Cosmo couldn't help but smile.
"Sprout!! That's a bit mean! That could be yourself you're talking about," Cosmo grins back, couldn't help but giggle since it was all just a harmless joke, a dark one at that, but...rather harmless.
The strawberry shakes his head, wraps an arm around his lover and pulls him to his side. "Come onnn, would you love me if all my limbs were absolutely destroyed and I was like the equivalent of a worm?" He asks.
The swiss roll had a poker face before saying "You can just ask if I'd love you if you were a wor-"
"Answer the question,babe."
Cosmo pulls Sprout down to kiss him on the cheek. "Of course I would...I'd put you in the most perfect soil and do worm-ey things," he smiles wide, not even sure what he's talking about himself but this clearly satisfies the strawberry and the two shared a quick peck on the lips.
Meanwhile in the Probably-Sprout's point of view he's merely exploring gardenview with a saddened look on his face. A bright area that didn't seem to brighten up his own darkened gaze. His working hand grasped his scarf tightly, almost as some form of anxiety.
Flinching when he heard Pebble's bark, this strawberry turned to greet Pebble, frowning deeply and just lowered himself to pet Pebble, Pebble pleasantly friendly, but the Older-Sprouts hand was shaking, eyeballing the creature.
"Hey there,pal!" A higher pitched voice rang out, Older-Sprout looking up to seeing Dandy walking over. His expression grew cold and he immediately stands up, Dandy pausing at the strawberry toons automatic hostility.
"What? Can't I greet you? God-" Dandy sort of scoffs. "If this the look you still give me you really hardly changed." Hes not gonna note how the look in general seems different then a annoyed glare.
Well either way, Dandy walks away, calling Pebble to follow him. "....bitch," Older-Sprout muttered. He began to dig through his pocket and kept walking, his hand finally grasping it, pulling it out of his pocket and he looks at it, frowning deeply at how matted it was.
Completely battered, the stuffing ripped out of it, it seemed to be a poorly done plushie of a brown dessert. Older-Sprout's working hand was shaking, his lip quivering. It's hard enough doing these things with one hand, why couldn't it just stay together? Why?
The strawberry delicately placed the battered plushie in his pocket again, his eye watering slightly at the plushie just becoming undone once again, but then he stopped when he realized who he could ask. Making his way over to Shelly's room, Shelly is shocked to see the Older-Sprout. "Oh-Sprout! I-I mean uh-Older Sprout...?" Shelly questions briefly, her idea on what to call him a bit skewered. "Do you need anythi-"
Older-Sprout hands Shelly the battered plushie. Shelly grabs it gently and is confused. "You want me to fix this? It'll take a while but what is it supposed to be?"
"..."
"Oh!" Shelly exclaimed and then quickly went off to work. The strawberry didn't really care how long it took, he just wanted it in a better shape then he himself was able to maintain it.
Finally, he mindlessly decides to head into the kitchen to which he spots his younger self and Cosmo there. "O-Oh-" Older-Sprout stammers, his younger self giving him a awkward glance before Cosmo shakes his head.
"No it's fine! Do you want anything?" Cosmo asks, being the one to mainly speak over Sprout. Older-Sprout shook his head and just quietly muttered;
"...exploring..."
"Thats fine too!" Cosmo grins, not taking note of how the older stared at him. Now it was sort of tense with the Older-Sprout exploring the place but Sprout himself leans in to his lover to whisper.
"This is awkward."
The swiss roll is quick to respond "I mean...we can't really talk much to him. Do you actually wanna give it a shot in terms of talking to him?"
Sprout is silent as the two watch Older-Sprout leave the room, Sprout kisses the swiss roll on the head really quick. "I'll be back." Then he speeds after his older counterpart.
He counters the Older-Sprout in the hallway. "Hey!" He greets as the Older-Sprout turned to look at his younger. "I was just....I had some questions! About the future, I mean."
The strawberry tensed at that, but he slowly nods. "Okay...what kind of questions?" He asks Sprout. The younger strawberry blushed but had a shy smile on his face;
"I...It's about Cosmo. I was just wondering...well, since me and Cosmo just got together...I was just wondering if we made it, yknow? Am I doing the right thing staying with him? We grow old together?" Sprout looked at his hands for a split second before looking up at his other self, the older strawberry having a dark look on his face. This made Sprout pause, his eyes wide at this look, he'd describe it almost full of grief.
"You're gonna love him till the day you die," Older-Sprout responds, but this has his younger self look down and then just gently smiles.
"Maybe I don't need to know anymore then that."

"I got it done!" Shelly yells from behind the Older-Sprout as he was sitting down on a bench near the Gardenview tree, which made the Older Sprout flinch but turns to Shelly with a brightened look on his face. "Its very cute! A tiny cosmo!" Shelly grins as she hands the Cosmo to Older-Sprout. "I kept that little like weird wirey speaker in there I don't know why it was there but I'm not judging nothing."
Shelly walks off, leaving Older-Sprout by himself as he held the Cosmo plushie, hand shaking as he had tears welling at his working eye. His thumb pressed the middle of the plushie, "I love you" the plushie spoke, it's voice glitchy, almost as it's stopping working. Sprout clicked it again. "I love you." The plushie repeats. Then, the tears fell on the plushie, the plushie becoming blurred in Sprouts vision, his head lowering as he held the plushie close to his chest, forever a reminder that before he entered that kitchen, he was beginning to forget what Cosmo sounded like.
