Debate club conversing.

I am trying to figure out how to have backgrounds and show depth without a busy background taking away attention from the characters. It turned out well I think, watercolor brushes on procreate are difficult to get a thick opacity with.

Ameebs 10 year redraw 2024 vs 2014.

The character himself is about 18 years old though (middle school). Somehow the name Ameba stuck so I just call him Ame now. Or Ameebs. I have done much research into Chinese names for him, but nothing has stuck. The greek root word amoibē means 'a change,' named for his more unsteady physical form.

I've been wanting to make a cyborg 009 style anatomy chart for a bit now. I've theorized my plant homunculi anatomy before in 2020 but I wanted to guess some possible pseudoscience names.

Ame used to be Ameoba and he used to be a single cell. I changed him to a plant to match his sister but I still do like to add some cell anatomy in there.

Modern Ame would be a studio art major, specializing in pottery.

I drew him here taking a coffee break. It was tricky to try and convey the terracotta mud both wet and dried on his hands, I think I only half captured it.
