beau had volunteered to babysit algernon so that aviva could have a night to herself. he didn’t ask many questions because he didn’t want to be a witness if she (probably along with gray, aleki, and blue) got in trouble that night. he sat on the opposite end of the couch from algernon and watched as the boy played some game on his phone. his head perked up at the sound of footsteps coming into the living room. he blinked several times and looked her up and down. he’d only ever seen her as a friend but damn she looked beautiful. “algernon, aren’t you going to tell your sister how beautiful she looks?” he asked and his smile grew.
