《 KONNICHIWHAT? 》
✨ ft @lgcbenji
Just when Jaehwa thought she could finally relax a little, the company had to announce a Japanese debut for LGC Girls. Although the debut being completely optional sounds quite tempting, being part of LGC Girls gives her the exposure and popularity she needed. The popularity that she had given up for Future Dreams Season 1. This may sound greedy but the girl learned to put herself out there if she wants to secure a spot in a permanent group. But first, she has to be at least fluent in the language. She’s fluent in two languages so far. If only she studied Japanese beforehand instead of Mandarin.
Weeks flew by and she’s in the last week of the workshop. So far, she managed to understand and caught up with the lessons. But the one thing that let her confidence waver is her knowledge on Japanese alphabets. Similar to Korean, there are two sets of alphabets; Hiragana and Katakana. Or is there three? Either way, she’s confused with where each letter belongs to and the direction of the alphabet.
Hence, she finds herself in an empty room, all alone. Having a bunch of idiots yelling across the hallway would be the last thing she needs. “Konnichiwa, watashi wa Jaehwa desu..” she mumbles while sticking her tongue out whilst scribbling diligently on a scrap paper, a habit she developed when she’s focused. “Yoroshiku- wait, that’s not it.” Jaehwa picks up her notes and refers to her scribbles side by side. Letting out a sound of defeat, she crumples the paper and lies on the ground with her notes on her face. What should she do?
