Never in her life did Winter think she’d be nervous to talk to her best friend but they hadn’t spoke since the summer palooza, a record for them. It felt strange for them not to be talking every day, for Winter not to be keeping her updated with every little meaningless thing in her life. Making her way over to Amalia it felt like almost nothing had changed, the woman was still the person Winter considered family and that was never going to change. “Okay before we get to the serious stuff, I really fucking missed you. If we could never do that again, that would be great. I swear I’m getting separation anxiety from us being away from each other. ”

Winter was tipsy by the time she finally found her best friend in the crowd of people. She made her way over, making sure to walk as quickly as possible to get to Amalia before anyone else could. “Okay first, I need to tell you that you look hot but you already knew that.
