“how are we doing here?” nico asks bo as he returns to the bar from another round of gathering empty glasses. it was usually a boring chore, but having to weave his way through a crowd of drag queens, kings, and otherwise iconically dressed spectators had added some fun to the job. it had also added the long pink wig he now sporting, placed on his head by a drag queen like she was ceremoniously placing a crown on his head. nico put the empty glasses he was holding down, then flipped his hair over his shoulder in a dramatic gesture, winking at bo. “bitch i look good right now. you wished you looked like this.”

“don’t do it.” avi was leaning on the counter, but not in their usual lazy way when they were just hanging around the store waiting for the next customer to come in. instead they had planted their elbows on the surface and had their head buried in their hands. “bo i can’t believe you’re even thinking about it.” the annual spring fest clothing swap was always a tad bit chaotic. avi had known this even before they’d starting working here, since they’d attended most years to sift through the clothing. people really just left the most awful pieces from their wardrobe here. the current example: a bright banana yellow duck onesie. “don’t get it, don’t wear it. the only thing that should happen with that is that you should burn it.”

midnight: What keeps your OC up at night? Do they have nightmares? Fears? Anxieties? What do they do in the small hours of the morning when they should be sleeping?

"I live with a squatter who's a narcissist and pathological liar that made me go through with an entire wedding only to admit later on that it wasn't real rather than take the easy ( and rational ) route of asking for a divorce from his previous partner. It's hard to sleep when the nightmare is my reality and he sleeps down the hall." @borawinters

"I don't know bo outside of the person that he was when he was young and impulsive enough to marry someone he barely knew. What I do know is that he became something I wouldn't have expected— which isn't a bad thing, just surprising. I think there's still that fun side deep down but I've yet to see it outside of the calculated and cunning person I've been around. Maybe I'll have to get him drunk as a last hoorah and see if I can bring the eighteen year old Bora out for a night." @borawinters

"It's odd to love someone only to loathe them with every fibre of your being. I've always heard that hate and love aren't so far apart and that feels truer than ever. I don't think he deserves much good and I pray that whomever he finds next runs for the hills. He's a mess. I would suggest therapy but I wouldn't dare wish that fate on any person." / @borawinters

"There's a part of me that still feels a pull towards Bora because of the vast difference between the man I've seen and the one I married when we were both young, stupid, and reckless. I think there's more to him that he doesn't show the world, and sue me for being curious. I think he has it in him but he just needs to loosen up. "I think anyone who has eyes can see how attractive he is. He's able to command a room with little to no effort required. His style makes him attractive though this is a reminder that maybe I need to find a reason to get him shirtless to give a proper response." / @borawinters
